Nagaoka MP-110 Cartridge for Warm and Dynamic Sound
High fidelity playback from the superfine polished elliptical diamond Nagaoka MP-110 cartridge featuring a more detailed, high precision, and authentic vinyl sound. Experience greater balanced tonal accuracy, resolution, and bass extension while accentuating every refined characteristic of your music.

Clarity in the Sound with the Acrylic Platter
The high density and greater mass of the acrylic provide increased inertia to achieve a consistent speed while damping unwanted vibrations. Acrylic has an analogous resonant frequency to vinyl records to aid in the cancelation of reverberations resulting in a 3-dimensional soundstage with improved bass definition, a richer midrange, and greater signal clarity.

Precision Playback with Motor Isolation & Speed Control
The servo-controlled belt drive motor with speed regulating optical sensor continuously measures and adjusts variances in linear velocity and acceleration for a wow & flutter of 0.07%. The decoupling of the drive from the plinth suppresses motor vibrations and noise from reaching the stylus. This maintains accurate speed and reduces rumble so your records sound perfect.

Wood Plinth for Superior Resistance to Vibrations

The RT85N Reference HiFi Vinyl Record player

Really nice unit, remarkable sound and balance. Perfect match with my Ri91 powered speakers and Fluance PA10 Phono PreAmp. Also tried the RT85N with my man cave TS34 Tube Intergrated Amp. Spectacular performance .

The Upgrade Was Definitely Worth It!

I recently upgraded from the RT81, and DO NOT regret it. The sonic soundstage of the RT85N is very impressive and sounds better and better with each passing break in hour. It's much more sensitive than the RT81, and has smooth balanced sound. I also paired it with the Fluance pa10 pre-amp. The sound of both is very clean. The highs aren't metallic on tinny and the mids and lows are full and well balanced.

As expected

Not new to turntables, but new to what I would consider higher end turntables. The RT85N meets all my expatiations. The sound quality is much appreciated. Also it is attractive looking along side my higher end sound system gear.

First Turntable

Bought myself my first record player, preamp and speakers. I inherited my father’s vinyl collection and wanted something to honor them with. Nothing short of impressed with this purchase. The RT85N turntable, the PA10 preamp, and the Ai61B speakers come together to give an amazing experience. I’m now enjoying my father’s collection and reminiscing the memories!

Love it, it looks great and preforms even better. My record player showed up with a crack in the dust cover From a shipping mishap. I contacted customer service and they sent a replacement cover to me immediately. I will probably upgrade to a Nagaoka MP-150 Cartridge eventually. 🤘

well-featured, easy-to-set-up, mid-range deck

For what I was looking for (this was a gift) -- not entry-level and definitely not "audiophile" level despite the heavy bass characteristic that many reported -- I'm happy with it as is the recipient. No plans to upgrade components later, and I wasn't about to pass on the Technics SL-1200 I inherited from my parents.
