My hair is soft, brings my curls out, cleans gently, foams like crazy with soft luscious lather, and it stays fresh feeling for a few days without needing to rewash to get that just washed look. No more frizzy perm look for this girl! The lather has an amazing fresh scent with a hint of sandalwood that is bliss not blast. Given the size of the bottle, the price point is excellent. I feel like it’s a bargain for as nicely as it treats my hair, which is fine but plentiful and permed. I would also like to add the fact that this product is clean. Ingredients make a difference and it shows in Natives thoughtfully put together Native Grass & Sandalwood shampoo.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I like the Native Desert Grass Sandalwood Conditioner. It’s very natural and the ingredients are all listed on the back of the bottle. You basically know what you are using which is very transparent. However my hair is very coarse from frequent coloring which makes it harder for this conditioner to work on. I tried keeping it longer it does make my hair softer but not smooth. Because it doesn’t have harsh chemicals, in the long run is a good product for anyone having normal hair texture.

First off, the smell is amazing — so fresh and clean without being overpowering. I already love Native’s body wash, so I had high hopes for the hair care too. While I really enjoyed the scent and the clean ingredients, the shampoo and conditioner didn’t work the best for my hair personally. Once my hair dried, I noticed a bit of a residue that made it feel less clean than I like. That said, my husband has been using it and he actually really likes it — it seems to work better with his hair type! Overall, I love Native as a brand and will definitely keep using the body wash and trying other products, even though the hair care wasn’t my personal favorite.

This means that I rarely use conditioner because it tends to leave my hair stringy and awful before the end of the day. This conditioner, however, doesn't do that! For my hair it's not a daily use item, but it truly makes my hair so very soft and beautifully scented! The large bottle will last for ages, and this combined with a blowdry and straightening my hair means I go out looking and feeling my best (or staying in and looking and feeling my best)! First off, the smell is really nice - it's mostly fruity with just a hint of earthy warmth. You don't need to use a lot of it since it spreads through your hair very well! It leaves my ends moisturized with some shine. I have super straight, flat fine hair so I wish it gave slightly more volume, but that isn't what it advertised to do, so I can't be upset. Overall this is really good and if there is a scent you love and your hair needs moisture, I would say go for it!

I used two pumps of the conditioner to help soften my hair as directed. I was hesitant about the desert grass smell but the scent is subtle and pleasant! I usually wash my hair once a week and I was able to go over a week without my hair getting oily and my scalp getting dandruff with this combo. The only flaw I noticed is that my hair was slightly more frizzy the first few times I used the shampoo but that has resolved after my hair got adjusted to the shampoo.
