Tia Lupita Salsa Verde, aka Zesty, is free of preservatives and binders, and is made with only six simple ingredients. It is not too hot, not too sweet. You’re gonna love the bright, punchy mix of ripe tomatillos and mild green jalapeños, blended into smooth salsa perfection. It goes well with meats, poultry, seafood, soups, or anything wrapped in a tortilla.

Q: Does it have to be refrigerated after open?

A: It does not need to be refrigerated after being opened, but keeping it refrigerated will extend its shelf life.

A: This Salsa Verde *DEFINITELY* must be refrigerated after being opened! From the Tia Lupita website's FAQ: "Salsa Verde and Habanero each require refrigeration after opening. Hot Sauce and Chipotle do not require refrigeration after opening, but storing them in the refrigerator is completely fine." In my experience with Tia Lupita Salsa Verde, it "goes off" fairly quickly, even when stored in my (very cold) refrigerator. So once I open a bottle, I know I must use it up within a few days, or it will spoil.
