Q: There are no directions with this market umbrella. Previous umbrellas had bracket to secure excess cord. How does the double wheel pulley function? Cord hangs too low. Is there away to ajust

A: In order to open the umbrella you need to pull the cord in the pulley system and once it's open there is a pin to keep the canopy open, The excess cord can be hung from the umbrellas' stretchers

We had this umbrella for less than a year and one of the ribs snapped rendering the umbrella essentially useless. Poor quality. There is no one to contact as ‘Northlight’ only sells through retailers. Would not purchase again.
