Absolutely delicious
I am HIGHLY impressed with this began cheese option. I’m a huge cheese lover but have had to temporarily cut dairy from my diet recently. I’ve been looking for a cheese alternative and have this a try. From a huge cheese lover - THIS IS IT! This is what I’ve been searching for to satisfy my cheese cravings. Off the bat, the texture is pretty nice. The taste blows my mind and gives me every cheese craving that I yearn for. It’s great alone or on a burger! Safe and tastes great as well as a safe alternativ
The packaging is informative and that's a great idea to share what ingredients are in it right on the front of the package. It tastes great considering how many things have been omitted out of it that so many other cheeses contain. The texture is a little weird, but I don't mind it. It's a little more expensive than others, but it's worth it seeing I have a lactose intolerant issue.

Why did you change the recipe. The new shredded cheddar cheese is disgusting. My daughter can eat 8 foods due to severe stomach issues and now she lost a food she can eat. This is devastating to us!

Recently bought the "new improved" cheddar slices and they are awful! Tastes cheap and grainy, has a weird funk that I can't get over. These have been my favourite vegan cheese slices for years and now I won't purchase them anymore. Please bring back the old formula!

I’ve recently been trying to avoid dairy and this has a really good cheddar taste. I haven’t tried any other flavours yet. It doesn’t melt the same but it’s honestly better than going without cheese and I’m not super picky so I like it.

Why did you change a product that was so good, and selling so well?!?! Make it make sense, please. This new recipe is AWFUL, and I won't be buying this again. We used to go through a few bags per week, but not anymore. Those of us with food restrictions suffer enough--go back to what worked. Do better, Violife 🙄

This used to be our favorite, recipe change is horrific. Not buying again unless you change it back. So disappointing, but after being vegan for 2i years, I'm used to companies doing this. Just feel bad for my kids who like pizza etc sometimes. I can definitely live without vegan cheese, but they are super disappointed. Daiya did the same thing. Never works out.

Cheddar Flavor is delicate, but Fabulous
This is a delicious non-dairy cheese. I have not tried to melt it because I've just been eating the slices cold, but I know it melts because i have read the reviews, and the reviews are excellent. Love the product - look forward to making grilled cheese and tomato sandwiches with fresh basil and sprouts!

I Tried it in a grilled cheese sandwich. I had to remove the slices and eat the bread by itself. The lack of protein made it not worth the effort of stomaching down.

Decent aroma, bad taste and worse performance.
I got a bock of these slices to try out, but I was greatly disappointed. The texture cold is very weird, but after heating it gets worse. The smell is very much like real cheddar, but the taste is very different. The slices have a vague taste that I cannot really place nor enjoy, but what puts me off the most is the texture and the performance. Cold, the slices are mostly oily. Warm, they get very jiggly. They won't melt very good and mostly just become super slippery. I tried making sandwiches with them, but everything just slid apart. The only way to work around that was by inverting the sandwiches and pressing very hard all the way. On an assembled sandwich or hamburger you also do not really taste the slices, but I think that might be a good thing. However, it does not really add anything then either.

I love the way it melts, I love the way it tastes, I love the fact it does not have vitamin K one potassium in it. As I am on Coumadin, a blood thinner and I’m trying to be vegan this cheese fits that need.

Cheddar slices - was better before change
I’ve bought the just like cheddar slices many times and always loved them. Recently, I opened a package and noticed that it said “new and improved” on the packaging. The new version is not good. The texture is still perfect, but the flavor is completely different and no longer tastes like cheddar. Please go back to the old recipe. I have a package of just like mature cheddar in the fridge now and am a little nervous to try! This used to be so good - please go back to how it was!

Disastrous Recipe Change
This used to be my all-time, favorite brand - now the cheddar shreds tastes like detergent! What happened?! It tastes so bad now, it’s inedible. Please, if you have a good thing, just leave it alone. I’m so disappointed and will not be buying again. Groceries are way too expensive now to ruin with this new formulated product.
