[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was looking forward to using CoverGirl Simply Ageless Skin Perfector Essence. I applied it with a brush which helped it glide on easily but did look cakey on my older skin. It would be ideal for younger skin for their everyday makeup routine.

Lightweight coverage!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I really have mixed feelings about this skin perfector foundation. On one hand it’s kind of hard to blend out. It’s watery, and doesn’t seem to come together very well. The finish is a nice glowy, skin like finish. I found that it also creases throughout the day around the eyes. Settling into fine lines as well. This is the shade medium tan, and it is pretty orange-ish looking. I definitely couldn’t get by just wearing it alone, without adding concealer to combat the orange hue. Perhaps if I tried a different shade, I’d get much better results. I really love that this contains 0.5% Bakuchiol which is really good for your skin, so having some sort of a skin care added into it doesn’t make it a total deal breaker. I’d say this is for those who have dry skin. I do not, so this just made me oily, especially in my t-zone area. This does provide a nice lightweight coverage. So if you’re looking for something this has a natural finish, adds lots of hydration, with skincare, definitely try this. It just wasn’t for me!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I tried the Cover Girl simply ageless skin perfector essence in color 20 light/pale. Overall it looks like bare skin and the result is very sheer. I usually buy one of the lightest shades when I buy foundation & this one matched me perfectly. This is the second lightest color. When I looked at the color inside the container it seemed a bit dark but when I put it on my face it was perfect. Also when I saw the little micro droplets it scared me but they blended easily as I applied it to my face. I used two full pumps for my whole face. I hope the .5% Bakuchiol helps my fine lines. I haven’t seen a difference yet but I have only been using it for about a week. It didn’t irritate my skin at all. The fact that it is vegan is a giant plus!

The texture is very lightweight and feels more like a serum than a foundation. Coverage is definitely sheer, so it won’t hide strong redness or breakouts, but it does a really nice job evening out the skin tone and making the face look fresher and more healthy-looking. The finish is glowy and natural, without that heavy makeup effect. I especially liked that it feels comfortable on the skin throughout the day and doesn’t feel thick or cakey. If you expect full coverage, this probably isn’t the product for you, but for an everyday “your skin but better” look it works beautifully. From what I’ve seen in other reviews, many people also love it for mature or dry skin because it doesn’t emphasize fine lines as much as traditional foundations. On my combination skin it wears pretty well too, although not for the entire day. After several hours I noticed it starts fading a bit, especially in oilier areas, but overall it still looks natural and fresh. I also really liked the packaging. The dispenser is convenient and easy to control, so it’s simple to use just the right amount of product without wasting it. The design itself looks modern and interesting, and it definitely stands out compared to typical drugstore foundations.

Weird consistency

It has a gel serum consistency with tiny flakes that are meant to blend in when applied but they don’t blend that well and depending on your skin type wouldn’t sit well in any imperfections. Would skip this one.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The texture honestly wasn't my favorite l,it's lightweight and not heavy at all,wich i did like,but i prefer applying my foundation with a sponge,and it doesn’t work well that way,if you like applying foundation with a brush it works much better,you have to mix it really well for it to work properly ,otherwise,it may not apply evenly. The wear time is good since it lasts many hours and still looks nice on the skin,in fact,if you apply correctly,it has natural coverage,making it good for everyday natural makeup looks,but for more special occasions when you need higher coverage,it doesn’t works as well. The ingredients are very gentle for the skin,at the same time wearing makeup you can also take a little better care of your skin.

Game changer for mature skin
