Use the tips & visuals in this guide to make taking your child's body measurements easy-peasy.

Don’t have a fabric tape measure? Use a shoelace or pant leg to measure. Then, lay it flat & use a ruler or tape measure to get a numerical measurement.

How to measure

  • Height

    Standing with feet together and back to a wall. Measure from floor to the top of the head.

  • Chest

    Have your child make airplane arms. Wrap tape measure around the fullest part of the chest, keeping it level & snug.

  • Waist

    With your child bending to one side, measure the point where the waist flexes naturally. Keep the tape level & comfortably loose.

  • Hip

    Have your child stand like a tall tree with feet together. Measure a level line around the fullest part of the hips & seat.

  • Inseam

    Take a pair of pants that fit your child well. Measure along the seam from crotch to leg opening.

Best Swaddles

We bought these for our 4th kid so we know a thing or 2 about safe swaddles. These are BY FAR the best swaddles we’ve ever owned. They stay in place well and we never felt as if they were creeping up toward baby’s face. Baby sleeps in these every day/night and is very content. They wash and dry well in a garment bag.

Poor Velcro and quslity, impossible to get secure fit.

Poor Velcro, too loose, impossible to get a secure fit. Bought some cheap ones on Amazon that have been washed 1-2x a week for 2 months and the Velcro is way stronger even after all those washings. Baby outgrew those so tried these. He wiggles out instantly.

super cute, but too loose

I bought these because I like my other SwaddleMe swaddle wraps, but the heart shape design on the front does not allow for a snug fit and it's too loose. I returned these and bought a pack of their original design instead and I love them. This design also has a pocket for diaper changes, which I thought I'd like, but it's just hard to get on because baby's foot sometimes gets stuck in it when I'm trying to put it on him.

not startle reflex resistant

Please save yourself the disappointment. These are absolutely useless if you have a squirmy baby, or just a baby that moves at all. These try to imitate the Halo sleep sack but truly isn’t anything like them. The price should’ve been an indication of the effectiveness of these.(halo sack is ten times better btw).

Loose Swaddle

The Velcro doesn’t go far enough making it impossible to tightly swaddle my baby. She wiggles loose almost instantly.

Baby wiggles out

My baby manages to get out almost every time we use this swaddle. Same is true of another brand we got, so I thought it might just be our baby until I read the reviews. Send to be a common issue.

Bad Velcro, Save your Money

We’ve previously purchased a different version of this which was way better. First, there is a huge hole supposedly for diaper changes but it is placed so low towards the feet to not be helpful. Hole allows kiddo to stick their feet out and eventually work out of swaddle completely. Also, the Velcro on this version does not stick well and has not helped up with 2 months of use. Have an older version still going strong from a previous child. Do not recommend, please save your money and look for another brand!

Expected a better quality

I thought it was going to be pretty similar to the Halo swaddles. You can't compare them at all. My twins love the Halo swaddles and sleep for a couple of hours in it, but when I place them in this swaddles they are all fussy and won't sleep more than hour. I believe I got what I paid for. Want to return them, but unfortunately can't because I took them out of the packaging to wash them before using them on the babies.

Way too large/loose

Product specifies 0-3mo and in description 7 lb minimum but there is zero chance that any baby less than 2 months old will be able to safely use these swaddles unless they are in the >90th percentile

Worst Swaddle Ever!

I am not pleased with this swaddle. It's too large- so the inner velcro doesn't match up with the center velcro piece. Because of this- my baby kicks the center piece for the legs and escapes the swaddle. Not sure if this is a factory defect? The velcro placement doesn't seem to be correct. Don't waste your money on this!

Not so great

This swaddle worked for about one month. I absolutely hate it now. It rides up constantly and covers my babies faces, rubs them and my babies are constantly uncomfortable. The part where you place your babies arms is too low so my babies are always pulling out their hands. The velcro is also super loud.

Do not purchase

The worst swaddle ever, rides up and covers my babies nose/mouth every 5 minutes it feels like. The heart shape Velcro piece is way too big and doesn’t even fit the intended placement by the time you wrap it low enough to avoid it riding straight up to their mouth. I’ve done nothing but fight these swaddles to work properly since I bought them. Her hands are always coming out the bottom and her feet out the back changing cut.

Me and my newborn love these!

Loves these! We used these from the start with my newborn. Makes swaddling easier and helps my baby sleep. The Velcro can be loud at times and has woken my baby up in the middle of the night. I don’t flip the bottom for diaper changes..I take my baby fully out then put them back in when they fall asleep again.
