The top is held on by large black plastic tabs - if one of these snaps off and falls in when popping the top off or on (or if several of them do, as in our case) and don’t notice right away, you will grind them up with the pepper and eat them. Yum? I didn’t pay $80 for salt and pepper grinders to eat plastic, thanks.

The Trader Joe's disposable grinders last longer. I only refilled it twice before the tabs on the lid broke. I have been able to refill the disposables more times than that. I gave it 2 stars as I do like the look.

Very well presented in a black box. the mills were larger than I expected and of a high quality. They are to be given as a Christmas Box so very pleased with both the mills and presentation.

Sleek and beautiful. Look great on the table . Would make a great gift as well and as a nice touch they arrive with salt and pepper inside.

the Cole & Mason salt and pepper grinders are an excellent choice for quality and appearance, they suit our decor so well, and are easy to refill. so much better then the standard supermarket ones.

Had a set with glass and wood but these are really pretty. I'm leaving them out on the counter as too pretty to hide. I really like the capability of changing the coarse of the pepper and salt without having to guess. I had an issue with my battery pepper grinder as the metal turning mechanism inside stopped turning. The company was helpful in getting me a new working set. Thx

The Cole & Mason salt and pepper mills are the best. These mills are like a work of art but are functional. The craftsmanship is top notch and I would recommend these mills to anyone who enjoys having the best.

My family was wanting an electric mill. Everything I had bought in the past was hard to use and just didn't perform for my large family. They were sure the electric one would be the answer. I just did not want another thing to replace batteries or have to charge to use. So I spent a little more money and bought this set. And to say the least no one is disappointed. Easy to use, provides various grinds for the preference of the recipe or person's taste. Now I will say the filling of it perplexed me. But after a few fills it isn't a battle to remember how to do it but really that is the least of my worries. we love it.....

I have bought 2 sets, one as a gift. Both my sister and I love these. Really nice wood finish and the grinding gears always work. The don't get stuck and are easy to change the grind.

i use them pretty much every day. old ones kept breaking. has a lifetime warranty so i thought i would try them. really like them so far. seem to get more salt per turn than others. i like that. seemed to twist forever with old ones

This set is fantastic. Easy to load the salt and pepper and I really love the adjustability of the grind. Much more efficient that mills with the ball on top to adjust grind. Very good looking product as well.

My Review for Cole & Mason Gourmet Precision Oldbury Salt and pepper grinders is on the avenge scale. They look beautiful in my kitchen and grinds the spices perfect, however they leave salt and pepper droppings when not in use. I have to clean up the leftover pieces often. I'm wondering how much I waste when the grinder in not in use.

We recently got this salt and pepper set, and we really like it. It is a beautiful set, and would be great for a gift. It has a modern, clean look, and expensive look, with a reasonable price tag. The grinder works smoothly and is easy to figure out. Highly recommend!

Absolutely love these beautiful wood salt and pepper shakers. They are very classy and the grinders are my favorite. They finely grind and are great for cooking or decorating your table and using for dinners. Would highly recommend!
