Kids’ measuring guide

Use the tips & visuals in this guide to make taking your child's body measurements easy-peasy.

Dont have a fabric tape measure? Use a shoelace or pant leg to measure. Then, lay it flat & use a ruler or tape measure to get a numerical measurement.

How to measure

  • Height

    Have your child stand in front of the fridge.Mark the top of the head with a magnet. Measure a straight line from floor to magnet.

  • Chest

    Have your child make airplane arms. Wrap tape measure around the fullest part of the chest, keeping it level & snug.

  • Waist

    With your child bending to one side, measure the point where the waist flexes naturally. Keep the tape level & comfortably loose.

  • Hip

    Have your child stand like a tall tree with feet together. Measure a level line around the fullest part of the hips & seat.

  • Inseam

    Take a pair of pants that fit your child well. Measure along the seam from crotch to leg opening.

Amazing quality Cutest Costume ever.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My son is obsessed with trucks, cars and most recently transformers. This costume is amazing. With its moving parts that make it so he can transform at school during the Halloween parade or while out on his trick or treat route. We may just have a Halloween party just so he can show off his great costume.

Easily transforms

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Got this for my 6 year old who loves transformers. He's usually a size 6 and this fits him perfectly. My son loves that he can easily transform himself without my help. The costume looks great and he says it's comfy and not too bulky.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My kids love the converting costumes. Optimus Prime is just too cool. There were no instructions with the costume so it did take us a while to figure it out with the help of videos I found on the internet. Once we got it all set up and on, my little guy was rocking it. It is easy to convert down to the vehicle. He won first place in a costume contest! I wish the sizing wasn't so broad. My son is 4 so we got the 4-6 but it was a little big on him. He'll have room to grow into it.

Show stopper of a costume!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This OPTIMUS PRIME Transformer costume made my son feel larger than life. He thought he was a movie star and couldn’t wait to show our neighbors how quickly and easily he could “transform” into a real semi-truck. He could wear this costume at least three different ways and insists on sporting it whenever possible, even at our local grocery store. Easy to put on, made with soft material, and super flashy!It even came with gloves! The costume did not come with instructions and it look a little bit of time analyzing the photo to figure out how to put on each part. My son is 43 inches but this is definitely something he will grow into- he has trouble moving around for too long with the entire ensemble. Overall, this costume is so cool and will be a staple in our dress up clothes rotation!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This OPTIMUS PRIME concert costume is very cute for kids however it is also very complicated. The bodysuit fits great alone but when you start to add the other pieces to convert it to the truck those pieces are big and do not stay in place. The body piece for the truck just flops around it need some kind of way to secure so it stays in place and it is the same with the arm and leg pieces.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is probably one of the coolest Optimus Prime costumes I've seen. This is a complete set with it's own zippered carrying case for storage. Halloween or dress up, this is a awesome costume. There are multiple pieces as shown. Materials and design are both perfect. These are all great quality costumes by Disguise and you won't be disappointed. If you have a Transformer lover then I would definitely opt for this choice.

Such a fun costume

The costume does not come with instructions but if you look at the picture on the nice bag it comes in, its pretty easy to figure out. The whole costume comes together nicely and its so fun to see my kid be so thrilled wearing it!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My son loves this costume and the fact that it comes with so many pieces he gets to put on or leave off if wanted. It’s amazing quality and looks great as well. You can tell it’s super durable! He loves to lay down and ‘convert’ with it, but it did not have any instructions. It’s obviously not rocket science but all it has for ‘instructions’ is the picture on the outside of pack. The truck was hard to figure out what to do with the Velcro’s strap and how to properly wear the costume. The truck seems very heavy but also did not know if we had it on properly. It’s a very cool costume and definitely going to be a hit for Halloween with allll the kids, but please include some sort of instructions or guide on how to best wear the truck.
