Falling apart at the joints

The piece didn’t come with the correct hanging hardware. The companies solution for me was to either pay to send it back or get a saw and cut the wood in the back so it would mount as advertised. I had to hire someone to do the cuts. Now, 6 months later, the joints are all coming apart. I used wood glue to fill the new gaps that are forming but it continues to worsen. Very disappointed.
