The Viscose Chenille Throw is not meant to be treated like a standard cotton blanket. As clearly stated in the care instructions, it must be washed separately on a gentle cycle and hang dried. Putting it in the dryer or using harsher settings will damage the fibers and lead to the kind of shedding described here. When cared for properly, this throw maintains its soft texture and beautiful appearance, and many customers enjoy it for years. If the care instructions are not followed exactly, however, the experience will be disappointing. Please be sure to handle this piece as recommended to enjoy it fully.

Our viscose chenille throw is intentionally crafted for softness and warmth, but because of its delicate woven texture, it does require special care. We always recommend washing on a gentle cycle and hang drying to help preserve the fibers and reduce lint. That said, lint shedding is normal with chenille during the first couple of washes and should taper off with time. As stated on the Care Tag, "Wash alone in cold water and hang dry." If the instructions are not followed then you may have the issues you've described.
