Q: Where is the entryway from the house to the enclosure ?

  • A: The side facing the wall has no doors or obstructions, so it needs to be installed against the wall.

  • A: I believe most of these catios have nothing on the back section. The mesh or wire is only on the sides and the front of the catio, not the back. You most likely will have to secure catio to the house. You can either put it in front of a window with a window cat door or just open the window to let cats in and out or you can make an opening in the bottom of your wall somewhere inside your house and put a cat door.

The directions to put it together are not good.

The directions are basically a pic, and not in the best order for construction. There are no measurements on parts, and it is not a free standing structure, but three sided and needs to be mounted/screwed into a smooth, brick/wood wall. One needs to also pre-drill the holes in the piece of wood section being connected as well as one needs to use a lot of upper body strength to manually screw on all the screws, unless one goes out and buys a 90° angle driver. However, it does fit the requirement that I can stand up in it and maybe put a chair in it for me to join my cat when it is outi in the Catio.
