Too tight around my calves
I agree with the other reviewers that these socks are extremely tight around my calves. They feel like compression socks in a bad way. Very uncomfortable in that respect. However, the extra padding on my socks are comfortable on the arches of feet, the cons outweigh the pros. I have found that rolling the socks down to my ankles makes them more tolerable.

She rides horses and needs really well made socks that can withstand more than average pressure and wear and these things are still going strong!

Nice quality sock
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I selected this product in a sampling program in hopes that it would make a member of my household happy. She has Alzheimer's disease, and has difficulty being happy with most items of clothing, including socks. Out of the package, these felt promising. They were soft and had a bit of cushion on the sole - not as much as I normally like in my own socks, but at least an average amount. When I had her put on a pair, she indicated that she liked the way they felt - they were neither too snug nor too loose, and she liked the fabric. She also commented on the color detail positively - I caught her looking at it a few times, and she pointed it out to me every time she put on a new pair. She has kept these socks on for an entire day, which is very uncommon, as she usually changes socks multiple times in a day. The band at the top doesn't dig into her calves, which is a thing I personally loathe in my own socks. I check her feet and legs often, and have seen no sign of any binding. New white socks are usually quite comfortable - soft and fresh feeling. The test is in how they wash up - are they still soft, or have they pilled up and gotten rough and almost crisp? These washed up better than most. They've been washed a few times and are still soft and have no pilling. My only complaint with these socks is that the colored detail makes it necessary to pay attention to properly pair socks when folding laundry, since the Alzheimer's patient won't wear mismatched socks!

I wear a size 10, but these fit perfectly. I really like the designs on them, the colors are pretty. The socks are easy to put on, they have a lot of stretch to them. They are so soft and comfortable to wear. I would definitely recommend them.
