A replacement
This is my second Chemex - my first was purchased in the 1970’s and had a bit of an accident. We tried other methods - French Press has always been a back up. But we decided to replace it and we are very glad.

Fun to brew the perfect cup
This Chemex classic brewer is so beautifully made. It looks like a piece of art. It is a stunning piece on my countertop and it was so fun to brew a great cup of coffee. I am happy to be consuming less of the stuff we don’t want in our coffee since it is filtered out by the Chemex system. It came with clear instructions, and was very easy to use. Make sure you get the Chemex filters as well! I received an incentive to write this review.

The best coffee I've ever made
I'm so glad I tried this because it makes a wonderful cup of coffee. The brew it produces is very clean and smooth without any grit or bitterness. The chemex itself is very sold and sturdy. It does have a bit of a learning curve and you do need to use some specific tools to get the best results. I used a 1/16 grounds to water ratio and a standard kettle because I did not have a gooseneck kettle. I'm happy with the results though even if I know my coffee could be even better. I will continue to use this and will work on perfecting my brewing method. I received an incentive to write this review.

Perfect brews for those who love great coffee
I have really enjoyed the Chemex coffee maker, both for its simplicity and its quality brews. It looks great, is easy to use, and is easy to clean. I can tell why so many people like it. My favorite part is how perfect the coffee is; not too strong, smooth, and grit free. I will keep using it for years to come; and I know it will last. I don’t plan on going back to my dirty coffee machine any time soon! I received an incentive to write this review.

Great way to make fancy-tasting coffee
This was my introduction to “fancy” coffee making. The glass looks nice and is lighter than I expected, though it does feel like high quality glass. It holds 8 cups of coffee, which made 4 full mugs with a few extra drops. It’s a good way to make good coffee for a few people at once. The pour over method takes a little longer, but I did notice an improved taste- it tasted to me more “coffee-like”. I received an incentive to write this review.

The best cup of coffee you will ever have
Timeless. We have been using chemex coffee makers for the last 20 years. They are the best. Classic style with an asthetically pleasing design and it gets the job done day after day. By weighting your coffee and water the chemex becomes a tool in your coffee arsenal to provide the perfect cup of coffee…every…time! I upgraded to this model from a smaller one and I feel like I have finally arrived! It’s perfect I received an incentive to write this review.

Pretty, easy to clean, and tasty coffee
This is obviously way prettier than having a big coffee maker on my countertop. Perfect for entertaining. I try to reduce waste as much as possible so I used a reusable coffee filter. Well, this obviously can't be set ahead of time like a regular coffee maker, honestly it is so much easier to wash and really took hardly any time at all to make. I think this is a great option especially if someone was not a regular coffee drinker, but wanted to be able to make coffee for guests. It says it is the 8 cup version and while I didn't pour 8 cups, I think you'd probably get close to that. I received an incentive to write this review.

Super fun process results in super smooth coffee
I finally got a Chemex as I’ve been craving an actual pour over cup of coffee in the mornings recently. I’ve always been intrigued by the simplicity of the design, and was ready to try it out. Folding the fancy filter takes about 15 seconds, and then it’s prettty much ready to go. Overall the setup looks very sophisticated, which is important. The pouring process is super fun, and the smoothness of the coffee is amazing! I received an incentive to write this review.

Great coffee brewer - but get cone filters!!
Fantastic! Quick and easy to brew a cup of coffee exactly how you like it! Big plus that it is silent, in case you’re trying to enjoy a cup in peace before everyone else knows you’re awake! Easy clean up! The best part might be that you can put it on your cooktop and keep it warm!! The only downside is that it didn’t come with a few cone filters that it’s designed for. I successfully improvised with a fluted filter - just pre-wet it and go slow! I received an incentive to write this review.

I've been debating getting a chemex for a long time! I have friends that love them. I was excited to finally try this! I went with the 10 cup size because I make a cup or two for myself everyday, and my teens tend to take a cup or two also. So this was larger than I expected, but beautiful! I didn't realize it wasn't coming with any filters, I thought it might come with a couple of their brand to try. So I went to Target and picked up some of their brand. I typically use a French press every single day for coffee, so that's my main comparison. I would say this does seem much smoother and less bitter! It's not as easy to clean, but I really love that it's just glass. I received an incentive to write this review.

I’ve never used a pour over coffee system before, but I love drip coffee and wanted a way to avoid plastics while making my coffee. The simplicity of this Chemex pour over coffeemaker is what makes it so great! It’s truly a beautiful piece and lovely to leave out on display. I was surprised how large it is - the 8 cup is plenty for my husband and me. I used some cone filters I had on hand and it worked ok, but I’d recommend buying the chemex filters because if you’re doing a large brew the traditional filters can burst open and ruin the batch. The coffee is especially delicious and rich when brewed with this! It is time consuming though. I received an incentive to write this review.

Love the shape filter and outcome of this coffee process. The coffeemaker came with an ad for a version with a handle which would have been preferable. This is a bit hard to handle when hot.

Would've been better if the package actually got to me
Package never got to me. I was given the wrong courier information from target saying it was FedEx when it was really USPS by the time I received a tracking number USPS had initiated a return to sender something that for whatever reason cannot be reversed. Estimated arrival was December 26 when it was actually in my area on December 20, which would’ve meant if I had the correct tracking information, I would’ve been able to set up a location pick up before they did return to sender. The product itself is grade I’ve had many of them. Have not had a problem receiving mail from any of the couriers including FedEx or USPS. Not packages not mail until this one. I would not attempt to purchase this through Target while it is only being drop shipped going to stick to products that are only available in stock in store.

Peet’s for Chemex — where I go
Chemex pour-over makes the best coffee once you have the grasp of it. Know your coffee ratios; grind your beans; pour and wait for bloom — just a few considerations. Peet’s is the best for filters by far. I decided to return to Chemex many years ago as a memorial to a friend who died in 1996 of HIV/AIDS. Chemex was Tom’s favorite coffee method. Thank you!
