A: While most consumers choose our products because of the patented lid design that is beverage temperature specific, they can be used interchangeably. We recommend Cold1 mugs as "Cold Only" as the lids were not designed to maintain a "leak-proof" seal with hot liquids and steam. If filled with hot liquids and tipped over, liquid can leak from multiple areas and be dangerous. Hot liquids will not destroy or hurt the product if used, but we still recommend this product as cold only. For hot liquids, we recommend our hot1 mugs.

A: The Hot1 lid and components are dishwasher safe. The lid includes two gaskets that can be removed for deep cleaning. One gasket is on the lid flap and the other gasket is around the diameter of the lid.

Do not waste your money

This mug is the perfect daily mug for my coffee. The cover seals tightly, keeps my coffee warm, fits in my vehicle cup holder, and the grip material on the bottom reduces the chances that my dog's wagging tail will send it flying!

BREAKING LIDS
I LOVE the product but I'm on my second one because of breaking lids. No replacement lids are ever available. Will NOT purchase a 3rd cup to replace a lid.
