Loving Tan Platinum Mousse - 3.3 fl oz - Ulta Beauty

The color of this tan is second to none. I got soooo many compliments on my tan. Was told it looked natural and that I was out at the pool for awhile. Not fake or orange looking. I am an experienced tanner and I have tried sooooo many. By far the color of this is the best. The ingredients however aren’t the best so I’m trying the pure line by loving tan now… currently letting it develop. I am glad they are trying to make healthier options.

I can't believe I'm seeing negative reviews for this, but I know everyone has different experiences. This tan dries as well, has a great dark color, and lasts forever on me. Literally god tier

I have been using Loving Tan for many years. It is probably my favorite sunless tanner thus far in terms of color. I have also tried almost every "major" sunless tanner brand having also worked in the beauty industry for many years. But the platinum version is just not it. It transfers worse than any Loving Tan mousse I have used. I typically use the ultra dark original formula. I have also used the 2hr express. None of them transfer like this. Also, the color guide is nice per usual, but I lost more of my color with this mousse more so than any of the others. I felt like I needed another application immediately, which is typically not the case (yes, i like my tan very dark). But typically one application does it for a few days/almost a week. Too much of my color rinsed off. Then, the patchiness of the fade was worse with the platinum. If you use sunless tanners, you know it's going to happen regardless. But the platinum fade was HORRIBLE. So patchy, dry and noticeable. This is with hydrated skin (using lotion) & using gel based body wash (no cream based) too. I am super disappointed & feel like for the price I paid for the big size bottle, it should be way darker than the og ultra dark and even perform better. Please Loving Tan, reformulate this or something 🥲. Save yourself some frustration & get the og ultra dark or the 2 hr express ultra dark.

Was so excited to get this. I tan super easy in the summer but thought maybe this year I will go the sunless tan route. I have tried so many and some have great color but the transfer is annoying, or some dry fast but have no color, or they gave great color but come off patchy in a few days. I decided ti try Loving Tan based on TikTok and Reddit reviews. I decided to splurge on this. I got it yesterday, put it on before bed and slept all night. I just took a morning shower and dude, it all washed off. I have a HINT of color. Since I havent tanned outside yet I am PALE. This is a scam for the price. May try the non platinum version because…. This is terrible.

I have used Loving Tan Mousse for many years. I usually use the Ultra Dark and Gradual tanning lotion in dark. For some reason the "Platinum" Mousse is so drying and does not last long at all!! When it fades it is not even and I look like a lizard! If I lived closer to an Ulta location I would return it. I will definitely stick with the Ultra Dark next time!

I was really excited to try this since it states on the bottle that it is "maximum tan for experienced tanners." I slept with it overnight and I feel like the color was not dark at all. It was just a golden tone. I was very disappointed as I've used other brands in the past that didnt claim to be maximum tan and gave a much richer color than this one. It is also extremely dehydrating, my skin felt super tight the next day.

Love this so much, such a nice natural looking color. I left it on for 7 hours and the color turned out perfect. Not too dark but not too light. Blended beautifully

Thought I would try this instead of st tropez, there is literally no color payoff after showering. Horrible product and will be going back to my usual tanner after this.

I do really enjoy this self tan and loving tan products overall are probably my fav. I've been self tanning for 15 years and have tried so many products and brands. It's just not quite as dark as I expected it to be, it's pretty on par with their ultra dark line, not darker. I'm super pale and my goal is to look as tan as possible.

Omg its soo deep in color! Violete undertone. Darkest tanner ive ever used that has decent wear. A little drying but honestly, if you want to self tan and be DARK, buy this. Develops pretty quick too. Worth the money to buy, esp the bigger size. Fades slightly patchy but for an event or when you want to be DARK, this is it.

When i tell you i have tried EVERY self tanner and i work at palm beach tan and this is seriously better then a professional spray. It is so dark but has a red undertone so it doesn't look orange. The mit and a face brush makes all the difference BUY

This was recommended to me by a coworker after I saw how flawless her tan looked and it's safe to say I LOVE it! I have olive skin so tanners can sometimes make me look too "green" but this was absolutely perfect. It looks dark and gives color while still looking natural. Especially with fall and winter approaching I needed a great tanner and this is perfect! Also smells amazing!

I am someone who is naturally pale as a ghost and only gets sunburnt, not tan. After trying this tanner for the first time, I am so happy with the results and will always repurchase this item. It looks so natural and the application process is easy!

I left on overnight and rinsed off and it's blotchy and most of the product rinsed off. Only my hands feet and knees have the tanner on.

If you would like to NEVER BE ABLE TO SCRUB THIS OFF YOUR SKIN, do not buy it! Typically I wait until I see the tan naturally start to come off before I shower and use an exfoliating mitt to get the rest off. Under the armpits start to rub off first, then the neck, then the inner thighs, and so on. I give this tan AMPLE amount of time to start coming off in before I even attempt to scrub it off. I even bought a tan remover mousse to help with this process, because it's so frustrating getting the rest off (especially on the legs for some reason.) I've had this tan on for a well over two weeks, used the tan remover mouse, AND scrubbed my entire body VIGOROUSLY for over 30 minutes before getting out of the shower and drying off. I went to re-apply the tan again so I'll have a fresh looking tan for work tomorrow, and HALF MY BODY STILL HAS LEFTOVER TAN. So not only do I have old tan on my skin, the new tan is now going on SO streaky. I can't even quickly wash it off because it leaves pigment on your skin almost immediately. So now I'm left for the NEXT TWO WEEKS with a streaky tan that won't come off for ANOTHER TWO WEEKS fully. If they can release so many different versions of their tanner, ATLEAST put out a GOOD tan eraser mousse to compensate for a formula that does not come off even after scrubbing your skin OFF.

I have been self-tanning weekly for many years, and this is honestly my favorite self-tan I've ever used. I have had mixed experiences with other Loving Tan mousses, and given the price of this one, I was hesitant to try it. But it is honestly great. I have very fair skin and the color isn't THAT dark to be honest - I would prefer it quite a bit darker. But it is the darkest one that I've found - and the shade is lovely. I previously used the St Tropez Express (which I left on for 8+ hours), and I needed two layers of that to achieve the same color as I get with one coat of this. This one also dries VERY fast which I love, but it means that you need to be able to work fast to avoid streaks, which may be hard for beginners.

Its been years since ive used a self tan with a colorguard - ive been using a clear water or foam but i just wanted a darker tan for a wedding. Im so impressed! The color is dark (the colorguard washing off only made it a HINT lighter), the smell isnt strong like 99% of other tanners, and it dries fairly quickly and isnt sticky at all! Does transfer onto my sheets and the colorguard does stick to my larger pores but thats fairly expected

I have extremely pale skin & have been self tanning for over 3 years. I like to be dark for events and I've heard so many great things about this product and how dark youll get from it so I splurged and tried it. This product broke down on my skin after day 2 and started cracking. I used 2 coats and was not nearly as dark as people have said. Clings so bad to hands, knees & elbows. Used twice and was not impressed.

Ive been self tanning for a couple years now and when i saw this come out i was sooo excited! But ive noticed the few times ive usednit now that its takes so much longer to dry down unlike the ultra dark and most of the color washes off, whereas with the ultra dark it doesnt for me. Ill be sticking with the ultra dark
