Love these, with a trick for faster breakfast.
These are great oats, but there is a learning curve with cooking. If you are looking for something quick in the morning, I recommend making overnight oats with these, and simply heating them up in a bowl in the morning for two minutes in the microwave. They taste great that way, you get hot (or cold) oatmeal and the benefits of steel cut, and it's much quicker.

How to avoid microwave boil overs
It took a few tries to figure out how to avoid messy boil overs. Here is what works for me: put oats, water, cinnamon, and salt into a deep cereal bowl and put into the fridge in the morning. The NEXT morning, cook the oats for 4 minutes on 50% power in the microwave. No more boil overs! These oats are delicious.

HOT, NUTRITIOUS, DELICIOUS!!
I hadn’t eaten oatmeal for many years. I was browsing the cereal aisle when I first saw “The Golden Spurtle”. Now I eat it most mornings. I love that a hot, nutritious breakfast can be ready in a short time. I usually slice a banana on my oatmeal, but I have used apples, blueberries, strawberries, whatever I have available. I love the texture of the steel cut oats also. When I was having trouble finding this product in my usual stores, I went online and bought a case. Now I will have my favorite breakfast food for the rest of the winter at least!!

Steel Cut Oats in a Fraction of the Time!
I love this product. The great satisfying taste of steel cut oats in 9 minutes! I wish I had known about this product earlier. Our daughter-in-law served these to us on a recent visit and we enjoyed them so much that we decided to make the switch from old fashioned.

Everyday Health
We love Bob's Quick Cook Steel Cut Oats and have them nearly every day for breakfast. Cinnamon and raisins stirred in and topped with chopped apple or pear. A real treat is when blueberries are in season so we can add a handful. We use about 7 lbs each month - It is hard to imagine anybody not liking these oats. The only thing I don't like is having to order so many small bags, bring back the big ones!

Great if you don’t mind birdseed & cleaning the microwave
Total fail. Tastes and looks like bird seed. I’m so upset I purchased 4 bags. I should have stayed with the regular bobs oatmeal. I followed the directions to the letter and this is attempt 4 and I netted the same results. Seriously????5 minutes in the microwave???

Great for overnight oats!
These are the best! I also like the regular steel cut oats (which are also great) but these are perfect for overnight oats! They are chewy and perfect then for breakfast. I also mixed them in with rolled oats for a little texture variety.... Buying by the case is advisable!

Oatmeal hater LOVES this oatmeal!
I've never liked oatmeal but I love this one. Unlike other oatmeal, this is more of a nutty grain than a sticky, gloppy cereal. I cook it with Goji berries in a pressure cooker and then pan fry it with apple, cinnamon and maple syrup. It's delicious!

Cooking Nightmare! Great Tasting!
These are great oats but cooking them in the microwave is a nightmare. They overflow no matter what we try and you end up with half the oats. We have tried everything that is recommended and nothing stops them from overflowing. My husband is the one who eats them the most and he refuses to try cooking them any other way. Time is a factor for him.

Bob's Organic Quick Cooking Steel Cut Oats leaves rolled oats flat
These are the best that I have found for taste and texture. Easy to microwave; set control to "fresh vegetable," then simmer as needed at low power. Adding ground cinnamon makes a special treat. In comparison, rolled oats are, well... flat.
