Q: Can they be used for painting rocks that will be left outside?

A: What a colorful question! We have not tested our Washable Paint Sticks to be used for rock painting, so we are unsure of its results. We'd suggest trying out our Acrylic Paints for use on rocks, but then keeping them out of the elements to keep your masterpiece pristine. Q: Is this okay to put on car windows

Crayola Washable Paint Sticks are designed to wash from skin and most launderable fabrics, so we do not recommend using them on car windows, as they may stain those surfaces. For glass, Crayola Washable Window Markers are a better option. If you choose to decorate car windows, be sure to clean the design promptly to prevent smearing to non-glass surfaces. Q: How long does it take this to dry on wood?

Although the paint sticks dry quicker than traditional paint, drying time on unfinished wood will depend on the amount of paint used and be slightly longer than the 60 second drying time for poster board and paper. For my older kid they work great. For my younger kid- HUGE mess. Blue stained fingers that won’t wash off at all. Even my hands are stained after washing them 5-10 times.

Get Mondo Llama instead

There are better options out there. These ones are extremely messy and fall apart. The color isn't as nice as other brands. Go for the Mondo Llama tempera sticks instead, they're 100 times better, and cheaper than Kwik Stix.

I wanted to love these after trying the ones that came with my Lovevery play package and these were not comparable. Very messy like painting with a glue stick.

To call these washable is a joke. They are so highly pigmented that they stain everything they touch. The sticks crumble off as they are being used or fall off the artwork once finished. So now there are highly pigmented paint crumbles falling off all around the house. I’ve found it on light switches, floors, walls, tables, everywhere, and it stains. The entire box is now in the trash. We’ve had good luck with the Modo Llama paint sticks, should have just stuck with what’s worked.

Just like others say, these are incredibly messy. The paint falls off the paper, never actually dries. I always think I have it all cleaned up and then find it magically all over my floor later in the day. We've used them but Im going to try to return them because theyre so bad. Crayola should take these off the maket.

The colors are nice and vibrant but they come out really clumpy on the paper, and have a stronger smell to them than other the brands.

They were very easy for my autistic 3 year old to use. We made thank you paintings on small canvases for his preschool teachers. Problem is they aren’t drying it’s been over 24 hours and they are still tacky. I don’t know how we are going to be able to give them to his teachers
