Pennington Smart Patch Mixed Sun or Shade Seed/Fertilizer/Mulch Repair Kit 10 lb

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Used in a couple spots. Area that got better watering obviously took off much better, so keep that in mind. We had also raked area to give good loose ground, and that also seemed to help. I'd recommend and use again!

I applied Pennington Smart Patch Sun & Shade Lawn Repair Mix and it did not germinate. When I opened the bag it appeared to have gotten wet.

I was very careful to follow directions carefully. I prepared the areas. I watered every day. Not one blade of grass came to life. An investment of $ and of time yielded nothing. This product simply does not work.

I followed the instructions completely, kept the product moist as directed, and absolutely nothing grew. - very disappointed.

I planted this product in one large bare area and another brand's "easy" seed in an area 5 feet away. Watered them both at the same time every day. The "easy" seed is so long it needs to be cut already and the Smart Patch does not even have 1 seed that grew. It's worth the extra money to get the other brand. This product is a waste of time and money.

Purchased this to fix a few bald spa It's in different areas of my yard. Followed the instructions exactly as said on the bad. After 2 weeks, I have the same bald spots, with slightly darker dirt. Very disappointed. I will never buy a product from Remington again.

We worked the grown up put product down and have absolutely nothing growing. Followed instructions and watered /watering and not a sprout nothing

Use the liquid pet Pat patch first then seated like they recommended and nothing grew absolutely not a single strain of grass

Patch doesn't work with Pennington Smart patch. I used in March and April in 2 different times, after 3 weeks nothing grow except weeds. I seeded twice from the same bags in early March and April, doesn't work at all. After spreading the seeded, at night my forearm has rashes It happened twice after using the Pennington products.

I planted and.watered according to directions, and more than 3 weeks later...Not a single sprout. Save your money

I had recently planted grass in a new area of my yard that was previously rocks and had more than a few bald spots that needed help. I used the entire bag to cover up these areas. I like how the pellets turn a different color so you know when to water them. The grass came up in about a week or so and it has been HOT in our area. We gave it plenty of water, twice a day, and have had great results. I will be using this product again when we replant another area of the yard. I will definetly recommend this to a friend!

It turned a section of my back lawn that I thought wasn't going to be rejuvenated into a lush great piece of lawn.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I had a spot in my grass that got burnt from a fire pit so after following the directions and spreading this over the burn area of dirt, it didn't take long to see grass grow and as of right now it's looking great. I would definitely use this again.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The product performed well. Sure to the mixture of seed, fertilizer and mulch, it's cost prohibitive to use on large areas. From time of spreading to germination, was about 7 days. 3" of growth in approximately 15 days. You must keep moist just like any seed but the mulch in the product helps to retain moisture for a longer period of time than using straw.

We recently leveled a few spots in our yard and used the smart patch to fill in the grass. The grass came in quickly and evenly with little effort. I would definitely buy this product again!

I've never been able to find grass seed that would grow here, and then I used Pennington Smart Patch Sun & Shade Mix. It actually grew and with regular watering, it has thrived. I'll be buying this from now on.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Got a sample of this product to try out and it worked great for the patches in my lawn. The mixed in "mulch" was great in helping retain moisture even in the heat of July and prevented me from having to water it every hour, haha. Would need a lot to do large areas but for smaller bares spots it worked perfectly!
