Works but may need more than one application
Little deceiving but does work if you follow instructions. The amount of area you will cover with this jug is not large. We put one container out a little over 2 weeks ago and did water it in as the instructions say. It’s definitely growing grass but it’s not as thick as we hoped. We bought more product and will be putting it out later today in hopes that it will continue to grow. For us, we decided to put a first one down and see what it did in an area that didn’t have any sod. Now that we can tell it is growing, I am hopeful that within 1-2 more containers we have enough grass to be thick enough.

To get the best results, apply no more than 1/8th inch of the product to bare spots. You will still be able to see the bare ground, but the mulch will expand to fill in the area when watered for the first time. If the product is applied too thick, the seedlings will be smothered. When applied at this recommended rate, a 3.75lb jug will cover approximately 85 sq ft. Each seed variety in this product has a slightly different germination time, but under ideal conditions, all seeds should germinate within about 21 days. It will take some time for the new grass to reach its mature color, thickness, and texture. No growth
This is the second time I bought this item and there is no growth at all. I had been watering the soil twice a day and in addition we had some rain Absolutely no growth. I ended up buying regular seeds from ace hardware with big success

Germination times on the label are based upon the grass type in the package that will germinate the quickest. Soil temperatures must be at least 55°F (+12.7°C) for grass seed to germinate, which generally means air temperatures consistently above 65 degrees F. Cool nighttime temperatures and fluctuating temperatures will slow germination. Cold weather will delay germination but will not hurt the seed. Both excessive moisture and not enough moisture can inhibit seed germination. If a weed control is used around the time of seeding, it will either prevent the seeds from germination outright or destroy the seedlings as they emerge. Make sure the ground is still visible when EZ Seed has been applied. If the seed was applied too thickly, the seed on the bottom will still germinate; gently water the area for 2 minutes to allow the water to reach the seeds. It did nothing to my lawn even with daily watering. The guarantee from Scott’s was a pain, too—they seemed to be primed to deny any requests. I had to send multiple photos and videos and argue before they agreed. Hopefully I’ll get a refund check in the mail but even that is supposed to take a month or more

Needed grass seed in September
This was the ONLY grass seed available online, to be delivered to my area, and the local Target had NONE at all. So I took a chance, but the area I covered with it is sunny and this grass "blend" did not grow. For context, I live in PA and the temps are in the 70's-80's lately. According to directions it should have? Also, there is not alot of grass seed in container, half is filled with mulch and fertilizer (filler). not worth the price.

STUFF WORKS!
There are so many mixed reviews on this product, but for me it has worked absolutely amazingly. It has been 10 days and it's looking great! By day like 6-7, I could already see my little grass popping up! I didn't do a huge open space, I used this for dead spots. DO NOT over water the area. Just keep it moist throughout the day. DO NOT over use the product. Sprinkle enough to see the product after you've watered and moistened it (you'll be able to see a certain shade of brown). If you need more in some spots, then sprinkle some more. I actually added more product as the days went on in areas I noticed it needed more. ANYWAY, I LOVE THIS!

I used this originally 5 weeks ago and I did another application probably about 3 weeks in just because my soil isn't great to begin with. Used this in most areas and although it didn't totally fill it in, it definitely helped alot. Some spots it didn't take to and again it's most likely my soil so I would definitely reccomend anyone looking at grass seeds.
