As with any seed product, Scotts Ezseed Tall Fescue requires both continuous moisture and warm soil temperatures. When one of these conditions is missing, poor germination is the result. Be sure to spread the Scotts EZ Seed Patch & Repair evenly over the prepared area. It should be sparsely applied to a depth of about 1/16" to 1/8" thick. If Scotts Ezseed Tall Fescue has been applied too thickly, germination will be poor. Also, make sure that no weed control or weed prevention product has been used where you are seeding, as those products will also prevent or inhibit the germination of the seed.
