I've had great luck with Caphalon pans in the past, but this was a total bust. The only thing that gets hot is the handle! Heat transfer is poor and uneven. Weight and thickness are the same as typical cheap pans. Their "Premier" and "Signature" series may be more like the old heavy-duty pans that worked so well. Another one bites the dust.

Love my Calphalon!
My Calphalon 10" Frying Pan with Lid is a wonder! It is so nice to have a pan that does not have eggs or potatoes stick to it! The lid fits properly and easily. Our electric stove heats the metal used quite evenly because of its conduciveness'. My husband learned to cook using Calphalon and he just loves it when he cleans up! We do not use metal spatulas when frying but we do use metal things for serving. We have not had trouble with scratches in these awesome pans. I recommend these pans to my friends often.

I use this 10" nonstick frying pan everyday. I will eventually need to replace it as I have done with other 10" frying pans I have bought from Calphalon but that will be after many years of daily use. Calphalon makes the best nonstick pans at a reasonable price.

Quality Way Down
I bought a complete set of Calphalon cookware years ago. Inevitably, it came time to replace the 10 inch sauce pan due to loss of the nonstick coating. What a disappointment! The handle on the pan is lightweight rolled metal with junky connection to the pan. Next replacement will be with a much better built product from another manufacturer.

Poor quality
The lid is high quality. The pan is disappointing- very thin, & the handle gets very hot when using on the stovetop.

Materials getting less
I bought this to replace same size Calphalon fry pan I ruined (long story). Because of the curved sides, this pan has less flat space to cook on and is less heavy. Seems lower quality than what I had, but will see how it holds up over time. Love the lid though - didn’t have one for my previous fry pan.

The design of the pan changed but still good
It’s a good pan, but it wasn’t exactly the same as the model. I bought 10 years . I wanted to buy the same style of the model and the newer one is a different design thinner metal dark black Teflon the handle is not as robust but still a good pan just not the same as the original product.

If you are replacing a fry pan that you purchased some years ago as I, you probably will be disappointed. It is more light weight and the pan handle and lid handle are not insulated. They become very hot very quickly - an oven mit is necessary to use. Simply a cheap imitation of the originial and I do not recommend.
