This is a good desk for the price. One of the pieces came scratched and Sauder shipped out a replacement piece the next day- really great customer service! Would purchase from the company again

This is a home office desk. What I do not like is the drawers sometimes stick no matter how much you adjust them. Not very good quality

We purchased this desk for our home office and did so with some trepidation as other reviews mentioned the time and details of assembly. Allow me to detail my experience. First, the desk comes in two substantial boxes which are heavy and cumbersome. I used my dolly to bring them into the house. Second, unpacking the pieces. Get ready as there are a lot of them. I positioned them around the room so as to readily identify them when needed. The parts come in three separate boxes and are well labeled and it is recommended to lay them out as each packet of screws and attachments are number identified. I read that this is best to assemble utilizing two people, however my wife was away and I wanted to surprise her with the finished product. By and large it is not difficult for one person to assemble until you are getting near the end and putting the top on really is easier with two people. This desk is assembled using what has become a very popular process using hidden cams and cam screws along with wood dolls for extra support. I find you can save yourself some trouble and frustration when assembling by taking a separate cam screw and ensuring that the cams are positioned properly this makes assembly a little less stressful. You're going to be doing a lot of screwing of parts and I find using a ratchet screwdriver makes assembly much faster The enclosed 70 page instruction manual can look a bit daunting but I do commend the manufacturer for providing step-by-step, very detailed, instructions and pictures. I do have one criticism of the instructions which I think the manufacturer needs to address which occur on pages that address assembling the file drawers. The file drawers are designed to pull out and extend so as to making the entire drawer visible. The main body of the extension slides are attached to the to the interior of the desk, whereas the extension will be attached to the file drawer itself. This is not evident in the instructions. Therefore on page 24 when you are attaching the long extension rail it should be fully extended with the removable extension piece set aside, as it will be attached later on in step 49. This will apply to both file drawers. It took me by myself approximately six hours to put the desk together but I'm very pleased with how it turned out. It is sturdy and it looks like a piece of furniture that would cost a lot more.

It took a long time to put together the product. Sauder should have offered an option (for a fee) to have someone put together the furniture.

Tough to build but worth it

I think it will break if I try to move it. I had to have multiple panels re-shipped because they broke. The particle board is too soft and breaks during assembly. Threaded parts arrived unthreaded

It's great quality for the price and we love the color. The only funny thing is that keyboard drawer seems like it does not fit as flush to the desk as it's supposed to.

This was my 8th Sauder piece, and I'm always impressed with the quality. Assembly takes time (maybe 10-12 hrs), but I'm super careful and particular. I'm also a 62 years old woman. So you can do it! :)

Finished product looks pretty nice for the price, but the process to get there was horrible. For anyone looking to purchase I would highly recommend finding the instruction manual and read first. There are a ton of pieces and the process took forever. In addition, the modesty panel was cracked and I did not notice until a couple hours into the process. The Sauder customer service portal was easy to use though and I received a replacement part in just a few days. Unfortunately upon taking apart the panel, another piece cracked and had to wait a few more days. From there things ran smoothly although the work was tedious and long. The fit and finish are ok. There was a scratch on the desktop and some of the trim pieces are peeling up at the corners. But from afar it looks nice and I do get compliments.
