Within 2 weeks the material started to crack, not as comfortable as I expected.

I love this shoe. Holds up well, always looks good. This is my second pair, bought on sale, back up pair ready.

Durability is good too. I have flat feet and I cant wear just any shoe. I love these.

Purchased 8.5 wide width for FOH use in high volume high end restaurant: Pros. Fit was as expected and shoes are comfortable with my arch support orthotic insoles. To be honest, the wide width is nearly too wide. No slip soles are true to SFC’s superior safety. Cons: I have never worn shoes that made my feet sweat like this…to the extent that the insides are still soaked 48 hours later, after two days off. The “leather” seems to be an ultrathin and flimsy covering over thick polyester material beefed up with cheap foam. In fact, the leather is so thin and the sweating so intense, there is white salt on the toe caps after wearing. Literally never had this happen before and I’ve been serving for decades. There are plenty of other shoes out there…avoid these gross moisture factories at all costs.

It is now exactly 2 years to the date I purchased my shoes and I'm ordering another exact pair. I keep shoe polish on them every 2 months to help keep them looking fresh and to help with water resistance. I work 50 to 65+ hours as a working chef and couldn't be more pleased with my footwear. I'm replacing mine due to the top coming away after 2 long years of service. I could go get them put back together, but I haven't had much luck in doing that in the past. Highly recommend these if you do your diligence in keeping them clean and polished.

I read reviews claiming that these did not hold up well, so waited to post this. It’s been maybe two months. I typically walk at least 5 miles daily at work and found these to be very comfortable right away. They have a low heel to toe, so those who are not used to a more natural fit may need a little adjustment time.

In all I would say it’s a fair purchase the shoe fit for what intended. Comfortable I would say but a little on the narrow side for me.

Very comfortable, well cushioned, padded collar adds to comfort. The only issue, and likely a longevity item, is the "leather" is cracking 3 weeks into wearing. Trying to decide if it is just this pair, or a common flaw in style.

I heralded the fantastic quality, functionality and value of SFC since the 1980's! No more. These Saloon II started cracking/splitting within 2 weeks of use. Yes, they replaced with another pair but same results. I won't trust any shoe from SFC to last at this point. I guess they replaced good quality leather from USA with cheaper outsourcing materials to increase CEO's bonuses. Too bad. Another one bites the dust. What a disappointment.

Loved these shoes for the 4 months or so I had them, then out of the blue the upper started peeling. The soles are still intact though. Even resorted to coloring the white felt-like layer underneath black. Really wanted to love these but naaaah...

I ordered these shoes and they were great shoes for the first 2 months. Than they fell apart at the seams. Worst shoes if have ever owned. I even change out my shoes to others pairs so I am not wearing the same ones everyday. I your going to wear shoes everyday than buy real leather shoes.

I work in a reaturant being a fry cook these are great they dont get wet at all when cleaning the floor when others shoes ive ordered from here have however they are not the most comfortable I have a thin foot its just over time they end up not being so comfortable. That would give them a 5 star

These are very comfortable shoes at a really good price. I have paid double for other shoes I needed for work but were not comfortable and did not last. Hopefully these will last longer than the others.

I have a wide foot and often run into issues such as sides splitting out as a result, I did not have that problem with these shoes until they were almost a year old. They are comfortable even after spending 8 hours on my feet.

Working long shifts in these shoes is no problem at all. The shoe is very comfortable and offers great support rounded off in a great design.

The Saloon II's are nice. Comfortable but not very durable. They wear out fast. The materials are not leather and have a thin layer of rubber on them that always peels off after about 3 weeks of wearing them.
