A: No the top does not open. Also, it is only 16 inches tall not 18 like it is described.

This is perfect for our small dog to use to jump up onto our bed. It is 15" high- not 17". It isn't the nicest fabric and it smelled pretty bad when I unboxed it, but after airing it out it's perfect for what we need. Love the print and the price.

Beautifully made bench. Other reviews complained that it was too low, but I found it was just right. I also bought little feet to raise up the bench in case it was low, but didn’t think I needed it. I would highly recommend this bench

Pretty but is shorter than advertised
The bench is a beautiful fabric, just as pictured on Target’s site. A couple of issues, however. Firstly, the dimensions are not accurate and should be updated. From floor to top of cushion is NOT 18 inches. It’s shorter, at 16 on the product I received. Too short for usage in my opinion other than for decor. It cheapens the look as well. In addition, the box arrived covered in oil and grease. Thankfully the bench was wrapped, but only halfway. The bottom of the bench is not protected in any way when shipped. In my opinion, using a plastic bag to protect half of the bench doesn’t demonstrate care by Target. Please consider more protective packaging.

Beautiful pattern and well-made item but as the other reviews state, this bench is approximately 2” shorter than described. It looks so short against a tall wall. Hoping to give some height with pillows. It would be perfect if it fit the dimensions as described.

I expected this to be similarly sized to other Threshold benches I’ve purchased. It’s shorter than described (bench is not tall). It is too small to rest at the foot of a king sized bed. A king bed dwarfs this product. Color and style are nice.

Inaccurate measurements!
The bench is only 16 inches tall! Disappointed in shipping time and then to have it arrive 2 inches shorter than the website description of item. Took it back and returned today. Such a waste.
