pretty but not super soft

I bought this an another rug for my guest room, but the feel was off. It is a very nice pattern and color (I got the gold), but I didn't think my guests would enjoy walking on it in bare feet. If it were for a dining room or similar it would probably be fine, and it is a nice thickness and quality.
