Original is Better
I prefer the black matte version over this. The nozzle on this makes it spray unevenly and not as fine as the orignal, also the smell is too much for me I actually dreaded using this. I feel like my makeup looks much more smooth with the matte too.

Left my face red?
Did not make my makeup stay ( I only had concealer and blush on, fyi). It also made my face very red. My makeup was the exact same after, my face was just red. Also, the spray is not even and only went to a small part of my face, making me apply more then I wanted. It’s honestly what I’d expect from a $4 spray.

Love it! Works better for me than Nyx's 'Matte Finish' spray (in the black bottle). The scent is vanilla sugary... I could do without it, personally, but it didn't bother me & wasn't super strong or offensive. Does help keep my makeup put until I remove it, but I rarely keep makeup on my face more than ~10-12 hours, and I haven't done any heavy sweating with it on, so I can't speak to more strenuous use cases. I'll probably buy a bigger bottle.

one of my fav setting sprays ! i didn’t actually buy it separate . i got it in a beauty advent calendar . it smells very delightful , and it holds my makeup in place throughout the day . even during pre - athletics ! the only thing that i feel like could be better is the nozzle . it sprays very aggressively on my face drenching it . in order to keep it in place , i have to very quickly pat it down with a beauty blender . that’s it ! would definitely recommend , and buy again .

Honestly, there isn’t much special about this setting spray besides it smelling nice. The fragrance doesn’t irritate my face which is a huge plus, but I didn’t feel like I saw any mattifying effect. While my makeup does stay in place for the most part (as in, it doesn’t literally melt off when I sweat), it’ll slide around super easily if I touch my face. I haven’t had that problem with other mattifying setting sprays so I wouldn’t really categorize this one with those. I’d say this leans more towards a natural finish and mainly melts your makeup together instead of locking the layers in. Not bad, not my favorite. I’ll finish the bottle but probably won’t be repurchasing.
