Embarassing to real cook books

Such a waste of money. Very few real recipes. I kid you not one of the recipes is how to make a beer bucket. Another one is peas and carrots… hint: peas , carrots, butter, and salt.

Great for a beginner cook!

I had to return this cookbook because the recipes were so simple. I've cooked most of these dishes, for all my life. I've cooked these dishes a lot because they're very good. I think it's a great cookbook for a beginner. The cons: I didn't think the little stories were as in depth as I'd hoped them to be. I didn't like that Dolly had to show her cleavage in every photo. Her sister always looked very classy though. If none of that bothers you, get this book for any beginner cook.

So many great classics!

This is a great collection of common, easily recognizable meals in America. I enjoy the way the instructions are written for the quick kitchen read, the ingredients are all at the local supermarket, and everything you can put out on the table with confidence that it’ll be a success. I have more than one cookbook that can fail at so many of those and it’s refreshing to have this for a great go to resource.

Easy Recipes with Easy Directions: PERFECT for Beginners

I have always been horrible at cooking. I would review recipes and feel like a failure. This book writes recipes in a way that even I, who cannot cook, can accomplish. The ingredients are simple - I am not needing to spend $80 in ingredients for a one time meal. I'm not sure someone with extremely advanced cooking skills would enjoy this as it may not be advanced enough for them, but it's PERFECT for those that just need simplicity and tasty meals. PS - the turkey recipe is by FAR the best one there is on the interwebs.
