La Roche Posay Effaclar Dual Action Acne Wash for face thoroughly removes excess oil, while clearing acne blemishes and helping prevent new acne formation. This pore cleanser is formulated with 4% benzoyl peroxide and 0.1% micro-exfoliating LHA, this oily skin face wash also visibly evens skin texture and renews skin.

Key Ingredients:
4% Benzoyl Peroxide, acne fighting ingredient that reduces a type of acne causing bacteria known as P.acnes.
0.1% Lipo-Hydroxy Acid (LHA), a derivative of salicylic acid and has exfoliating and skin surface renewing properties.

When using this product

When using this product: skin irritation and dryness is more likely to occur if you use another topical acne medication at the same time. If irritation occurs, only use one topical acne medication at a time.,avoid unnecessary sun exposure and use a sunscreen,avoid contact with the eyes, lips and mouth,avoid contact with hair and dyes fabrics, which may be bleached by this product,skin irritation may occur, characterized by redness, burning, itching, peeling, or possibly swelling. Irritation may be reduced by using the product less frequently or in a lower concentration.

Directions

Use every morning and evening. Apply a dime-size amount to damp skin and gently massage, avoiding the eye area. Rinse well. Use wash on entire affected area one to two times daily. Because excessive drying of the skin may occur, start with one application daily, then gradually increase to two or three times daily if needed or as directed by a doctor. If bothersome dryness or peeling occurs, reduce application to once a day or every other day. If going outside, apply sunscreen after using this product. If irritation or sensitivity develops, stop use of both products and ask a doctor.

    I love the brand, this was my first face wash for acne and I have sensitive skin (especially to benzoyl). It is a little strong for me so I use a regular face wash daily and this one at night. When I used it consistently and only (for the first few weeks, my skin was dry but it helped a ton with my acne. I would recommend, just use their moisturizer!!! It’s my favorite.

    Terrible product

    I would leave no stars if able, this face wash BURNED my face and I’m unable to use this. I never had issues with this brand but this one was horrible intense red and dry patches that were sensitive to the touch. I bought this item with my own money and used it a total of 3 times, such a waste!
