We have 6 cats (still not sure how that happened, they were all feral!) so we had traditional litter boxes everywhere. I felt like I was cleaning a box every day. So, we started with one PetSafe scoop free and they fought over using it. We got two more, 3 total, and I will NEVER go back. It takes me 5 min per box to change, they don't track the crystals everywhere, and the smell is almost GONE. Also, I have arthritis in my hips and back, and this has made such a difference not having to bend to scoop or wash or anything. I will use these forever and ever now!

Have received two packs now that had the authentication sticker missing making them unusable. The first pack had stickers missing from all three. The second pack had the sticker missing from one. This unreliability is totally not ok. After about a decade of using this system I am now looking elsewhere as the quality of the trays has significantly decreased over time.

I took a flyer on this different approach to cat litter, as I was looking for a way for my cat to consistently use the litter box (and not my couch et al). Not only has my cat taken to this litter box well (and stopped with her errant urination), but the litter box works automatically, odder free, needs changing infrequently and is less expensive. BOOM!

Purchased this item expecting it to last as long as the box says for one cat, and my tray only lasted a week! This doesn’t seem worth the expense. The litter box itself gets poo stuck in it and takes a while to clean between trays. Also, it pushes even clean litter under the flap, so I would have to scrap the clean litter into the box a couple of times a day just in hopes that the box will last longer. I’ve been through 6 and the maximum one has lasted is 8 days.

I don't know what happened to these trays with the new version. The old version of the trays worked great, kept the poop out of site and lasted a long time. The new version of the trays still does good odor control but after two-three days the litter is stacking up on the poop end of the tray and poop is being pulled out to the other end of the tray.

It does not clean itself as what I expected. I still needed to clean the cat's poos daily. In addition, I do not think the litter box can last over a few weeks as it advised since it has been already smelly for less than a week.

Have used this product for over two years. Five stars for longevity: with one cat, you can replace the crystals once a month. Three stars for low tracking: you'll see crystals here and there around the house. Five stars for odor control: the odor is controlled up until approximately the 25th day. With two cats, you can cut the time in half and will have to replace the crystals twice a month. Five stars for quality: the mechanized tray is durable and the crystals work very well. Five stars for Value: the one time cost of the unit and the monthly cost of the crystals is high value because of the time savings and ease of use (i.e. no more time and effort scooping scat and cleaning utensils and hands) benefits afforded to the purchaser. This product is shipped in a 6-pack bunch (a 3-month supply for two cats/6-month supply for one cat) by Target and, at time of this posting, is priced a little lower per unit than pricing you may find elsewhere for single units in store.

I bought this a month ago and have used 3 trays, it does not last as long as I thought. I’m manually cleaning out the waste compartment to aid in the smell being better and because it gets full so easily. It’s nice not to have to scoop all the time, but it’s definitely not as cost effective as advertised for the result I’m getting

I absolutely love these tray's !! I have 3 adult cats . I have had my ScoopFree Complete Self-Cleaning Litter Box for almost 2 years now. I did buy a reusable tray in the beginning and would just refill the litter and this has worked for me.It was still scoopfree which is awesome!! . However I still had to clean the reusable tray itself , emptying the litter into a trash bag (praying I didn't spill), cleaning scrubbing disinfecting the reusable tray etc. I injured myself a few months ago and just taking those extra steps to clean that tray caused me extreme residual pain for hours I grew to dread littler box cleaning day . I remembered I still had a tray unopened from when I purchased my box 2 yrs ago and never opened it !!! I put it in , set it up and the following week It was so easy just pop the top, put the lid on the dirty litter . I quick swipe with a cleaning wipe, slip the new tray in and out to the trash it went . Took less than 10 minutes !!! I purchased this 6 pack immediately Yes the trays are more expensive but I am happily paying for the ease and convience , no smell , no muss , no fuss and no pain and aggravation . My cats are happy as well because with the reusable tray the separator part that sticks to the magnets would sometimes fall off and then either they wouldn't use the box or if they did it really was a mess to clean because they would end up getting doodies on the plastic part . So I would recommend these trays 100%

I love this product and have been using it for many years. Lately I have noticed that the bag of crystals have shrunk by a third. I have 1 cat and it would easily make it 2 weeks, now barely 8-10 days. I have to buy another bag and add a third more. I would rather pay more with the original amount of crystals! Pet Safe, now that there's less crystals a change in the duration of box changes does not match your advertisement. If someone new tries this product you may lose them

Bought the automatic litter box because I was going out of town for 6 weeks and wanted to make changing the litter easier for the individual coming to care for my house and cats. Got home and the entire house reeked of the chemical scent added to the litter. Immediately removed the new box to the garage and put in the old box. The scent is stuck in everything! I've had a perpetual sinus headache since I've been home that only abates when I leave the house. Every room smells of the artificial scent added to the litter; even the rooms which had doors closed while I was away. The 2 main rooms still smell heavily of it. I walk in and can still smell that awful (explitive) fragrance added to the litter. I'm questioned and criticized that it's not really the litter. Asked if it is something else. I wish it was something else! But no one can offer a logical alternative for what is causing the smell and its adverse reaction not just to my sinuses but some of my kids, too. Everyday that I am unsuccessful in removing the smell is further negatively affecting the members of my family more and more. The litter may be great. It worked while we were gone. But it needs to come in an unscented option! My advice: If you want or are interested in this product, sniff the litter packaging before you buy it. If it bothers you through the packaging or smells even mildly strong, then don't get it!

Great product. Makes the litter change process so easy and convenient. Definitely works to keep the litter fresh between each use. Easy to dispose of.

Still stinks like urine ammonia. I have to manually push the button several times crystals not absorbing odors

Finally, there is no urine smell from my cats (2) litter box. It is incredible, but true, after trying about every litter on the market, the ScoopFree litter tray is the only one that works. I have used it for about 2 months and I still go in to do the “sniff test” every day because I cannot believe that there is NO URINE SMELL! I do wish there was a bit more of the litter in the tray because it compacts rather quickly and, of course, I wish the trays were less expensive! It works as advertised, with a slightly less time than specified to change the tray. But I still give it a 5 star rating because it is far and away the best litter tray and machine that I have tried.

This is the best litter box system we have ever used. Makes life easier and eliminates the mess of scooping, dumping and lugging heavy boxes. Also far less smell.

Best litter solution! This is by far the best litter solution that I have come across. It is a little pricey, but well worth it. It is easy. It is not messy and never smells. Great, great, great.

I love this product. No more daily cleaning the litter. Air is fresh all the time. Amazing!

My cat refused to go in it. It terrified her. I tried for two days and found where she peed on my bed instead of going in this box. 11yr old cat never had an accident until we tried this. Ultimate disappointment and disaster.
