Bench is good quality and sturdy. The only complaint is the buttons can become wobbly if you're not careful.

The bench is solidly built, well-packed in box, and easy to assemble. We purchased this as a bench for the end of pur bed, but since it matches the dining room set we also purchased, it can double as extra seating.

Not sure what it was but when it arrived it had a strong chemical smell. I left the bench in the porch to air out for a couple of days. Now it's fine, looks great.
