I just took it out of the case, popped it in, and it fit perfectly. No weird adjustments, no gagging, no dealing with boiling water. I use it mostly for compound lifts.. deadlifts, heavy rows, shrugs etc and it really helps me focus and push harder without worrying about grinding my teeth or biting down too hard.
