A: It is listed in the ingredient statement as Palmitoyl Pentapeptide-4. Palmitoyl Pentapeptide-4 is synthetic. None of our Olay facial products contain animal-derived collagen. No Olay product contains collagen derived from humans.

It may be helpful to know that lather can be affected by a number of different reasons. The most common of which is due to hard water. Water hardness can fluctuate with the weather and may seem to arise suddenly. Other causes may include oil or grease on the skin and/or cool water temperatures. To produce more of a lather, consider using a loofa, body sponge, or puff. We are always looking for ways to improve our products, and we would love to learn more about what happened. It smells good but once you rinse it leaves a weird scent and doesn’t lather well. Too expensive to throw it away so I’ll finish the bottle but I won’t buy another one.

There are many factors that contribute to a body wash not providing enough suds – water hardness (which can be affected by weather conditions), cold water temperature, oil or grease on skin, formulation components, etc. If you haven’t already, you might try using a mesh shower puff/sponge. I appreciate also that it is free of phyllates and silicones and that it is dermatologist tested. Sometimes these things matter the most. I also appreciate that the bottle is designed for the label to be removed so that you can recycle it! Those are the kind of things that impress me the most.

My first impression was the lovely smell. The texture was nice and lathered well. But it was the end result that got me! I've been gardening in the sun quite a bit recently, so between the heat, dry air, and being covered in dirt all the time - my skin was very dry. After the first use of the Olay body wash I could already tell a difference. My skin feels so soft and smooth again! I've been using it for each shower since receiving it and I couldn't be happier!
