Wakeman Outdoors 6 Man Tent with Screen Room, Blue

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Wakeman 6 person camping tent is a water- resistant cabin style dome tent with a built in screened room, this is attached and you have to set that part up it inorder to access the door. The tent fits 6 adults but you will be shoulder to shoulder. I think it's more suitable for four maybe 5 people. Its very well ventilated, it has very large windows which is nice. The water resistant floor comes up the sides to better keep you dry, I like that. The fabric it's made of seems pretty standard, zippers work well. It comes with a carrying and storage bag but we were not successful getting it to fit back in the bag after using. One thing I love is it has instructions are attached to bag so you don't loose them, genius idea. The directions are pretty explanatory however we had a really hard time setting it up. It has a system to locking in the tent poles that we found didn't work well for us, it was a very tight fit, instead of just sticking the pole end in a pocket it has a round ring with a metal peg, they want you to insert the peg into the end of the pole, I feel this is a very poor design and difficult to do. The poles went together easily almost to easily because they tend to separate during set up and take down process, they are also super long and its difficult to feed them through the sleeve because of the length, you need lots of extra room, getting them out during tear down was hard too because they kept separating. I also would like to mention the tent seemed like it needed more support it only has 2 poles that criss cross like an x it's not as sturdy as I would prefer. I also don't like you can't set it up on a hard surface, it absolutely requires you to anchor it in the ground and stretch it to get it to a point that all the wrinkles are out if it. This tent works it's a nice tent but the overall design needs some minor changes in my opinion.

It has some nice options including waterproofing that extends up the sides, an attached insect tent area, and a hole for extension cords. It was easy to set up and required only 3 poles. Compared to more expensive brands the material seems thinner and the poles are not all metal, only the connectors are. As shown in the picture our pole started to splinter the first time we set up the tent. All in all this seems like an ok option for someone who doesn't camp much but if you plan to camp often I would probably look into something more durable
