I love my Restore 3
I love my Hatch!! It is helping me build a better sleep routine with the unwind options as well as the sunrise alarm in the morning—I am no longer bolted awake by an aggressive sound, but gently nudged with the increasing light—I often wake before my alarm even goes off and feel more refreshed.

I absolutely love this alarm clock. It took me watching a couple TikToks and YouTube videos but I finally got it exactly how I wanted it. Waking up peacefully is a game changer. The winding down mode is so peaceful and gets me in the right mindset. I love my Hatch.

Not Worth The Hype
Hatch makes this very difficult in a sense that you must have wifi and create a paid subscription ( must add card ) to set this alarm clock up. Just a few "easy simple clicks" later and you can cancel your subscription.

There are so many options but I know certain frequencies help me sleep and unfortunately the extensive hatch library doesn’t have it. It would be nice to have some custom wwwa sounds added to my library or stream my sleep sounds from my phone to my device. I would also love to have an assertive mode where it advices me when bedtime is, then exclaims it’s bedtime! And finally starts playing a default song/sound (like jeopardy music ) indicating it’s waiting on me. Then when I start the bedtime sequence it is happier and reassures me with some chimes. This second part might be too much to ask but would be nice to implement.

For the first time in
For the first time in my life, I am able to put down my phone and wind down before bed. Also if I have to use the bathroom at night, I am able to quickly fall back asleep and not be tossing and turning like I had been before getting restore. It has also made me a morning person and I have never been one. Thank you Hatch

I really wanted to love this product, and I feel like simple changes to functionality would get it there. But it seems like Hatch is so focused on the subscription (requiring it at sign up?! making basic functionality worse without it?!). It is just too app reliant, when the whole point is to get away from my phone. (1) You are required to sign up for a subscription (for an alarm clock?) at sign up, no exceptions. (2) There is no way to start the night sound/routine from just device. You have to start it from the app on your phone, UNLESS you have paid for said subscription above and have a "bedtime routine" (3) The app is not intuitive or easy to use. Hatch really needs to invest in UX. (4) What should be an intuitive physical device (the Restore) does not actually work like it should. I can't touch a button to start my nighttime routine. I can't touch a button to see the time at night (despite a video saying I could?).

Best Alarm Clock Ever
I've always had trouble waking up in the morning. I would average about 5-10 snooze hits every time. With Hatch, it doesn't even cross my mind to hit the snooze since I am so well rested throughout the night. The wind-down routine has been a game changer for when I need to get into bed. I am now excited to dedicate my night time routine to a phone-less, more meditative ambiance. It genuinely has improved my sleeping routine and I have more energy throughout the day.

Not worth the price
This was a Christmas present for my daughter. She has used it for two months. She has told me that at least 3-4 times a week it is just static. She has to unplug it and plug it back in to get it to work. Unacceptable for the cost of the unit! Would not recommend.

Good luck getting it to consistently connect
I have had the hatch for about three and a half weeks now and I have only been able to access the app three times and it actually work. Otherwise, it gives an error code to reset it as it is not connecting to the WiFi. I have reset it in all the ways I can find are possible online probably about 15-20 times and still no luck. I tested it under another WiFi network, same thing. It will one night turn on in the evening but not “switch” to the next section of the routine and some mornings the light will come on at random times but other mornings, nothing.

I really love the wind down feature in the ability to set your nighttime routine. The different lights are really beautiful and I like being able to have the sunrise before the alarm goes off. I would just say the app is incredibly confusing sometimes. I honestly had to go on TikTok to see how other people built their routines… it was confusing setting stuff to go before or after one another, and I didn’t find the explanations to be all that helpful from the intro guide when I first downloaded the app. I do like overall that this has given me a better wind down routine in a reminder for when my night time routine is starting. Even my animals love it.
