Miss the morning movement feature
If I hadn’t had the previous version I would be happy with this product. But a key feature of my old restore was the morning movement, This allowed me to listen to music after my alarm went off. It might be a perky playlist to get me going or a meditation. Bring it back and I will change my 3 to a 5

Upgrade, but fewer features
I used to have the Restore 2 and loved it, but had to get it replaced twice because it would no longer connect to wifi. The second time, it was replaced with a Restore 3. I’m sad to say I really miss the Restore 2. Getting rid of the morning moments was the biggest thing for me. To me, it’s no better than an ordinary alarm clock in the morning now that I keep snoozing. I don’t think it’s worth having the subscription without the morning moments. I think in trying to make it more streamlined, they got rid of features that made hatch great. All that being said, the Hatch support team is extremely responsive and helpful and I don’t want to give the product too poor of a review because I thought the Restore 2 was fantastic.

This has been a game changer! To be able to have multiple wind down routines has been awesome, and to be able to change alarm tone and time based on days of the week has been great as well. I'm loving the new alarm tones that have come out, and the sleek new color options have been great too. Love my Restore!

It just feels right
A traditional sound-based alarm clock is jarring regardless of the type of sound - it always feels like an interruption. Waking up with hatch feels natural, as if my body is suggesting that I begin my day. I didn’t believe light could work, but for me, it was immediately effective - even before I built up a routine.

The hatch is nice to have, but I wouldn’t consider it an essential part of my night time routine. I like the “cue to unwind” because it reminds me to wrap up whatever I’m doing and start getting ready for bed. The bedtime stories are cute too, and I like the options of different white noises.

Better sleep
I have been a Hatch fan since the original Restore, and it has been a game changer. I work shift work, and that is a killer when it comes to sleep routines. The Restore 3 is a great tool to get my brain into rest mode and set me up for a good night’s sleep. I love the wind down feature, and having lots of options for sounds, music and meditations are helpful for adapting to my needs given how I’m feeling that day. Keep up the different options and updated listening content!

Ease of use
I love waking up with my hatch. Since using it, my heart doesn’t race as my blaring, typical alarm goes off. It’s a smooth, gentle way to wake up. I do find the rest of the experience difficult to use.

I'm really enjoying the Restore 3! I'd like to see more serialized stories available. I've been listening to The Great Gatsby and The Legend of Sleepy Hollow and they are great, but those are the only two stories right now. I'd love it if there was even one new story every month. The narration is great.

Continual connection issues
The hatch seemed like it was a beneficial buy but it has recurring WiFi connection issues. This purchase is not even a year old. All of my other devices connect to my WiFi just fine. If there’s a power outage, better bet that you will spend hours trying to get the hatch to reconnect to the WiFi.

I bought my Hatch Restore following recommendation from my NP on ways to help with my anxiety. On the topic of sleep hygiene a sunrise alarm combined w some white noise and a short nighttime meditation was suggested. Bring on the Hatch! While first put off by the cost, the fact that this machine could deliver all three of those suggestions pushed me over the line from “I don’t know…”, to “sure, I’ll give it a shot”. So glad I did! I love this product, and with my hatch subscription I’m able to utilize my sleep routine even when traveling through the app on my phone. 100% recommend!
