GCI Outdoor RoadTrip Portable Rocking Camping Chair - Indigo

Very comfy, love being able to rock, feels stable. Great for camping. Not for the beach.

When I originally purchased these Charis they had a lifetime warrantee. When they broke and I submitted a warrantee claim, GCI declined it due to them changing the lifetime warrantee to a 3-year warrantee. Very deceptive of GCI to change the warrantee after purchase. The chairs broke easily after 12-15 uses. GCI did offer a 20% discount code to purchase another chair, but why would I purchase from a company that doesn't stand behind there products!!

I find its comfort level to be about average for a camp chair. I am most annoyed by the noise it makes when you rock it. It's a weird sound. I'm not positive where it is coming from, but I think it is from the piston on the left side (when sitting in it). I also think the armrests are uncomfortably hard. A little cushon there would have been nice. I prefer my old chair.

I got this chair for the rocking feature. It does make noise from the cloth and the shocks everytime you rock it. The front feet hit the ground when you initially sit on it due to it being off the ground and the rear feet where the shocks are due hit as well when you get off. So it’s not quiet when your using it. It is comfortable due to the seat being high up on your back. The “cup holder” is just cloth, the same material as the chair.

We live full time in our camper. This is our 2nd pair of GCI rockers. These are so comfortable and handle a lot of use and abuse.

This chair is comfortable and way better than their super short, low rider one that doesn't warn you how low it actually is, then if you give that other chair a negative review the company points the finger back at you for not looking at the specs posted on the product page... fair point, that's why I bought 2 other chairs and this one fits me perfectly. I bought this chair to use during long days on the shooting range during competitions. Fantastic choice. Very comfortable, very strong. It's a little heavier and bulkier than other camp chairs, but it's worth the trade off. I would definitely recommend this to others.

We purchased these chairs back in 2021 from a big name store. It is the same frame. The material is a little different with the open mesh back and the location of the cup holder. The new ones look like they come with a carry case where mine old ones did not. These cost more than what we paid back then, and I would purchase again in a heart beat when they finally break. This is the most comfortable chair we have owned. We used it at the beach, in the desert, up the mountains, and at home. These chairs go everywhere with us. They are heavy and a bit bulky, but easy to carry with the strap over your shoulder. They are definitely not backpacking chairs. We prefer to use these at home and leave the covers on our patio furniture. The only thing to watch out for is that there are screws and nuts that can come loose. It only happened once and we we able to find them by the chair. Just do a quick check every once and a while. It only happened recently and we use these every day. I also spray some lubricant on them as maintenance to get the dirt and sand out of the struts. Everyone who tries them, loves them.

I could sit in it all day. A little heavy but to be expected

These are great chairs, super comfortable and easy to travel with. they are great for sports games, festivals, concerts. The rocking action is great and is perfect for relaxing. the cup holder is a little small and flimsy but it gets the job done still. The bag makes it very convenient to carry and I like how it folds up like a normal camping chair. All in all I would recommend this chair to everyone.

This rocker is junk unfortunately. The pieces are too thin and bend easily then never fold up correctly after.

This is the third Roadside Rocker that I have purchased from you. I absolutely love it but the first two split down the center of the seat. Is it possible to improve the fabric to allow more durability? Each rip occurred in a little over a year.

I never knew how much I would enjoy having a rocking chair around the campfire until I got this. Very comfortable chair and I find myself rocking endlessly. It packs down quickly and easily and I tend to find reasons to use this more than I would have with any other camp chair. It is a little heavier than your typical chair but worth every extra ounce. I highly recommend. I am curious to see how it holds up over time.

Of all the collapsible rocking chairs this is by far my favorite. Most don't fold to put into a convenient to carry bag OR if they do they have cloth arm rest the move up and down. This chair collapses to be carried in a carry bag and has solid plastic arm rest all without sacrificing the rocking feature.

I've had this chair for a long time. Between ten and twenty years? The seat is torn so badly.I cannot use it and i'm just wondering if I can get just the new fabric part and not the whole chair. Of course , I'll be glad to pay for it because I love this chair and miss having it to use by the campfire. Please let me know how to order one and how much it will be. We have had the chair for a couple years and really like the chair, but the carry bag is ripping apart. The bottom is completely apart and the top is torn where the strap attaches. Otherwise a great chair.
