Q: Hi, I was wondering if it can hold at total of 50pounds. So,I can see if I can use it to store my weights.
A: Hi ZoeM! The 16 Qt. Storage Box is made of Polypropylene plastic, and was designed for general household use. Most household storage purposes do not require suggested weight limitations. Our products have not been specifically tested for various weight potential, and we suggest consumers use good judgment and not overload them or stack more than three high. This could cause distortion or eventual damage.

Q: Can it be used outside? Will it crack or break in the sun?
A: Hi Nemo! The 16 Qt. Storage Box is made of Polypropylene plastic, and was designed for general household use. They are not waterproof and do not contain UV protection. Rain, snow, and other weather can penetrate the cracks of base and lid. If using it outdoors, we suggest you cover it with a waterproof tarp, store it under a roof, or inside a garage, shed or other building to help prevent drying out from sun exposure, and to keep moisture from penetrating the unit.
