    Overly sweet but tasty

    I really loved the idea behind this product. It was a classic peanut butter cup but with lava cake filling inside as well. Who doesn’t love lava cake? I enjoyed it, however it was a bit overly sweet. I only ate one of the cups in the package and was already too full to eat the other. I would be much more interested in this product if they were packaged separately so I could have one at a time. The flavor was very good though.

    Still delicious.

    Even though I couldn't taste the chocolate lava part apart from the Reese's chocolate coating, I still liked these Reese's big cups in king size. I enjoy the big cups and I like it even better when there's two per package.

    Peanut butter candy

    Reese is my favorite, now they have it with a lava chocolate center, giving it a little more chocolate for an indulgent treat. The flavor is peanut butter and chocolate, the lava just gives it another layer of texture. This is a perfect bite of candy.

    The Reese butter cups taste so nasty now. They used to be my favorite but the way they taste now, I will never buy them again. They need to do a Reese original and go back to the old Reese recipe

    The pb lava (chocolate or jelly) ratio is off

    As much as I rallied for PB&J I even wrote the corporate office as a flavor suggestion The new lava cups are a little disappointing The peanut butter to chocolate or peanut butter to jelly ratio is off You can't really taste them You put a sliver of it in there in the peanut butter as much as I love the peanut butter overtakes anything else so I think they need to try again and maybe go 50/50.

    How does this have 4 stars?

    So, I shouldn't complain. I knew the Lava Big Cup would disappoint me. All the Big Cup flavor variations do. Nothing will ever top classic Reese's cup flavor. Alas, I'm Reese's obsessed and must try them all. I use online locators to find which stores stock the latest flavor, then make a special trip to buy them. Reese's knows this, so they keep making them in weirder and weirder flavors. So far, the Lava is the worst. Dark brown goo oozing from the bottom of my beloved Big Cup. Doesn't taste like chocolate. Doesn't taste like anything really. Just a texture nightmare for the texture sensitive. Ate half with the 'proprietary' mystery goo, then lopped the bottom off the other half. For one-half Reese's bliss, 2 stars rather than one.

    Disappointing

    Thought it might be good, but it wasn't. No chocolate flavor and weird texture and the artificial sweetener didn't help. I'll just stick with the regular Reese's cups.
