GE 65W RS6 Recessed Can Relax/Refresh Light Bulb

I have looked high and low for a retrofit ceiling led with a truly warm white color temperature like incandescents have, and this is the only one I could find (when set to relax). Its not too warm either, just a pleasant yellowish white. The lumens are also good, not too dim or too bright. One complaint is that turning the setting from relax to refresh and back, can be very difficult depending on the unit you get. There is nothing to grab onto, you just have to push in with tips of your fingers and hope you have enough grip to turn it. With one unit, I had to put a piece of packing tape onto the bulb cover for better grip, then carefully pull off the tape. You could also try some rubber gloves if having trouble. Another thing is that they put the sticker smack dab onto the bulb, and of course they all leave adhesive behind that I couldn't get off, so that was a poor design (don't manufacturers ever test their own products???). I have only had the light installed for about a month or two, and just installed a couple more, but so far so good. I hope these lights are not being discontinued.

This product was very easy to install and it sits flat to the ceiling so theres nothing to have hanging down. It came with a fairly bright light as well that can be changed out for a softer one very easily. I chose to keep the brighter one where I have mine located. I plan on buying more for my bathroom later this month. Definitely worth it to purchase.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The relax/refresh light is my cup of tea. The light comes 2-in1 where you rotate the lens to change from relax to refresh. The LED light all together is very relaxing to the eyes. The LED light has 700 lumens for brightness and leans more towards the warm side of spectrum. Before installing make sure you turn power off from the source and read all directions carefully. The end results will have you in smiles, I guarantee you it will!

We installed this in our kitchen where we have a corner with an existing recessed light that was still a bit dark. This added much more light to that area. The 32 year life on these is very nice. We plan to get more of these and update all of our lights.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received the Relax/Refresh LED Color Select Downlight made by GE in exchange for my honest review from the TryitSampling program in their online community. My favorite thing about this light is that it can be switched from dim to bright easily which is a huge difference whenever I don’t always want the same amount of light. This can be done simply by changing the interface of the light. This also will save me energy cost and from having to replace bulbs yearly because it’s life is rated 32 years per every 3 hours of use. This is 700 lumens (8 watts) and also will fit different trim rings although it doesn’t come with one. Another great thing about this product is how easy it was to install. I generally get nervous about putting things together on my own but this was really easy to get working and the instructions were very simple to understand as well.

This light gives more than we could ask for. Being LED it can be left on for hours without running up the electricity bill. That makes me happy. And in an innovative way with the ability to change between warm (brown) lights and soft (blue) lights we both can have our pick. The only negative is that it can be difficult to alternate between light choices. Maybe a remote option to change several fixtures in the future would be considered.

It took leas than 5 minutes and that included getting the ladder from the garage. Its literally just a screw in like a normal light bulb. It's also super bright on either setting which in my small bathroom (painted dark) has made a huge difference. The dual settings in theory is cool but not practical if you have tall ceilings and wanted to change that. Other than that I'm very pleased and impressed.

It is very easy to install. I have mine set on daylight which is 4000k. It is very well built
