Horribke to install!!
By far the clearest but the WORST to install compared to Frost King, the film is SO thin it tears easily and the fact they just give you one huge roll of film instead of precut sheets is ridiculous!!! This product USED to be great now it’s dismal!

Worthless tape
Your tape doesn’t hold! What a waste of time and money! Your company is losing credibility fast. Do you even read the comments from your consumers?

The paper Tape keeps treating and then I have to fiddle with it to get it started again. I tried to pull off the top tape. Wouldn't work

Tape problems
I have bought & used these for years. I have noticed the tape is not as good (way worse) than it ever used to be. And stingy: holy moly... doesn't 3M make the tape? Give a customer a couple rolls & allow for mistakes. For the price these are now... it would be nice if we didn't "have to" find more rolls.

Removable paper liner failure
Second year i have had issues with the tape. The removable paper liner does not release from the tape. Do not buy this product. 3M is better than this!

Would not shrink, full of wrinkles
Have been using 3M window insulator kit for years but this year I was very disappointed. The film would not shrink or wrinkles would not come out using hair dryer on high. It no longer has shrink on the box. The film no longer gets nice and tight. Looks bad. Will no longer use this brand.

TERRIBLE TAPE !!!
Have always liked this product but this is bad enough to make me not buy it again tape is useless so the film is useless 3M should recall 5 window insulator kits I saw the reviews on it and did not heed their advice It's either a bad bad bad apparently 2 years worth or A bad change in process or materials

No quality control
This tape won't even come off of the roll. The backing is disintegrating into paper bits and this kit is unusable.

Useless
When will I learn to stop buying this junk? Every year the product is more inferior than the last yr. Film is so thin that it tears, tape doesn't stick to the window and if you're lucky enough to have it stick, it likely will pull away from the film the 1st day it gets cold. I remember when 3M was the leader in the industry, now most stores don't even carry it. I WANT A REFUND!

Tape is completely dysfunctional
Purchased this product to help with cold Minnesota winters in an older home, but I cannot for the life of me get the “paper” off the tape, and therefore cannot install the product. Was really looking forward to using this product and am incredibly disappointed.

The plastic is fine, but the tape unusable
I bought three of these kits and I am having the same tape issues as other customers. The tape will not detach from the backing (and sometimes cannot be peeled off the roll itself). I have bought these insulator kits a few times before and never had an issue. I had a small amount of tape left over from a past kit, and in comparing it to the tape of the new kits, it looks old and faded. I tried to call the number on the box (800-447-4235) but it directs me something called "globe life" ?? this makes no sense

Tape won't stick
I am also having a problem with the tape. I was able to get the paper backing off of it but the tape won't stick to the wall. There is no window frame except for the wall.

Quality control issue.
I've been using the product for a number of years without any problems, however I have 5 boxes this year and all the tape is bad, the back won't release. I've tried to get in touch with 3M, but the number on the package doesn't work.

Terrible Tape
Terrible. Long time user. First time problem. Luckily I had enough tape from prior years to finish the job. Backing on tape will not release from its adhesive.

Tape sucks!!
If I could give negative stars I would. The tape provide is possibly the worst tape I've ever used. It sticks to the backing more than anything. We've wasted rolls because partial backing only comes off the roll with no actual tape. If you're successful to actually get the tape on the window frame be prepared to heat it up and struggle to cleanly remove the backing. 3M you should really look into improving your tape. It's horrible.

Disappointed
We have used this for years, but this year the tape backing would not come off - it kept peeling and the backing would get stuck on the tape. Both rolls were unusable. Absolutely ridiculous.

Defective Tape
I've used the 3M Window Insulator Kit for many years without a problem, but this year both rolls of tape are defective: the paper backing won't separate from the tape. (Luckily, I had enough left from a prior year to at least cover one window.) Is there any solution to this?
