Q: "the lid rotates to control airflow" -- does this mean it can be set to be airtight, i.e. with NO airflow? I need to keep this completely sealed off so as not to attract bugs.

Not the greatest
The air holes are too large, it just becomes a fruit fly factory. Hard to get clean, even after multiple runs through the dishwasher and scrubbing there is still scum.

Large capacity so it doesn't fill up too quick; No smell! No bugs! Easy to clean, use it all the time! Has an 'unobtrusive' footprint, doesn't get in the way on the counter.

This compost bin is perfect for our kitchen. It holds a surprisingly large amount of compost and is super easy to empty and clean.
