I was surprised by all the negative reviews, but I guess every dog is different. We have a 3yo 85-lb male boxer who is ruthless on toys and shockingly this candy cane is still going strong. It has one tiny hole and we gave it to him on Christmas along with about 20 other toys…this is the only one still in one piece. He plays tug-of-war daily and this is his current favorite. So I’m honestly surprised others say their dogs destroyed it, because ours has held up incredibly well. Maybe we just got lucky with the quality from this lot of toys! I’m writing this review because I hopped back on to buy another one because he loves it so much.

We have a 16 lb eight year old aggressive chewer Shi Tzu. This is the first toy of this type (including Kong toys) he hasn't shredded in 15 minutes. My husband thinks it has catnip for dogs inside the way he attacks it. It squeaks, but I don't hear a rattle. We are thrilled and look forward to purchasing more toys of this type!

My dogs favorite toy from Christmas. I have a golden retriever who loves to chew on toys. It’s still going strong as of today! Our dog likes to chew on this toy as well as play tug-o-war with it. Our dog also likes to play fetch with this toy too! I’ll be looking for more toys like this!

Disappointed! Usually Kong toys last the longest for our power chewing puppies! They got the stuffing out of this in about 10 minutes on Christmas morning.

Was billed as ripstop. I thought this should hold up for a while for play with a one year old 20 pound micro Bernedoodle. It lasted 15 minutes and she had torn it open with stuffing coming out. I also got the one of the gingerbread man. Same result! When you read the fine print it says for light or medium play…I think not!

This product is way oversized for most dogs. The dogs I gave it to were totally uninterested in it. On the description it says it rattles and squeaks. I shook it hard and could hear a faint rattle and wasn’t able to get it to squeak. Don’t waste your money. I had ordered other items that would have been great and were available at the time of my order, but Target later came back to say they weren’t available. Very disappointing Target. That happened 3 times on orders for pets. I wish I could return this toy but I’d taken the tags off so the pets would not be harmed.
