Description
GrowTrax provides an easier, cheaper, better way to grow grass. The grass seed and fertilizer are sandwiched between 2 bio-fabric layers. It literally sticks to the ground when moistened, no staking required, providing excellent seed to soil contact. GrowTrax holds 6X its weight in water. For fast germination and uniform growth, simply roll, water and watch it grow.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I put the grass roll down on bare soil and watered it for a good 10 days and all it did was break apart and make a mess of my lawn. Not happy and I purchased a roll of the flowering plants and I’m afraid to put that down if it will fall apart like the grass roll. It was a waste of my $ very disappointing.

Only about 15-20% of the area actually grew grass and the grass that did come in is extremely sparse. We watered religiously and followed instructions exactly. Lesson learned, next time we will put the money towards actual sod.

We followed every single direction and watered religiously, and only had about 20% of all the trax actually grow grass. A whole lot of work for very little results. The grass that did grow is EXTREMELY sparse. Definitely going to just pay the extra for actual sod next time.

I was hoping to avoid sod to repair a hole in my lawn, but after almost 6 weeks of twice daily watering I have very sparse grass. I also got the lavender seed starter, and that hasn’t grown at all.

I was pleasantly surprised that this grass is coming up well. The only reason I gave it four, instead of five stars is the amount of work required to clear and to water, and weeds love the fertilizer.

A lot of work for a few germinated seeds - and those are marigolds. I'm still watering twice a day and hoping for the promised wildflower meadow, but I seem to be growing crabgrass and liriope right through the mats.

We had this product down for a week, following the instructions for watering. After a week, I did the watering and then we left for about 2hrs. A very slight warm summer breeze came in, as in the leaves on trees were barely moving. Came home to find the entire 2 packages of this rolled up in our yard. It was unsalvageable as you can't unravel it. It just disintegrates. Extremely disappointed and had to go out and spend more money on flowers. I wouldn't recommend to anyone unless you live where there are never any slight breezes.

So far absolutely no growth whatsoever. I was expecting the Rye grass to start early, but it has not shown any growth. Maybe this will change in the next week or two but at this point I would not recommend the purchase.
