We made a chicken with melted cheese (of course!) over rice, using Sturdy sauce, and it was such an easy, family-friendly meal. The sauce is packed with protein, with 80g per jar! It made dinner feel a bit more filling but without any extra effort. It was perfect for a quick weeknight dinner when no one wanted anything too complicated.

This stuff is disgusting. It’s so salty. We usually check the nutrition label, sadly this time we didn’t. Over 2,000 mg of sodium in this tiny jar.

Horrible taste! Don’t waste your money! Tried so hard to season so we wouldn’t waste but just couldn’t do it. -10/10!

My husband purchased this to try on our kids to see if they’d eat it since they’re refusing to try our usual with beef. I tasted it when I opened it and was put off but thought maybe it would be fine mixed into the pasta. I put a tiny amount of pasta in a separate bowl so I didn’t douse all the noodles I had prepared and tried a little of the sauce with it and it was pretty awful so I didn’t use any more and I’ll be dumping it shortly.

Pricey but taste pretty good and a great way to sneak more protein into my daughters diet.

I used this sauce to make a delicious bach of spaghetti, that came out very creamy, rich in garlic and herb flavor, that also made it smell really good. The taste is really good and with the protein and make of this sauce ,made my meal complete.

It’s a smaller jar so if you plan on feeding a large family smaller portions are recommended or buy two. I love that I could enjoy a small amount of pasta and know I was loading up on proteins. Perfect for getting back on a healthy eating habit. The sauce is slightly acidic but that means it’s not loaded with unhealthy sugars.

This is a tomato based sauce that is high in protein. It is great for someone who needs a high protein diet. Protein is a very important nutrient. We were trying to think of something simple for dinner, so I grabbed the Sturdy Sauce and cooked some whole wheat spaghetti noodles. We love spaghetti, in our house. I tend to “doctor up” jarred spaghetti sauce. We didn’t add anything to the sturdy sauce because we really wanted to taste the true flavor. It helped make any easy dinner, we just warmed the sauce up in a sauce pan. I thought the sauce was quite sour. Too sour for my taste. It also had an unpleasant aftertaste. I did not east a second bowl. I would not purchase this sauce. I also probably would choose to not eat it if offered to me. My husband didn’t feel as negative towards the sauce. He had a couple bowls and said he didn’t mind it. He stated it was tangy. He said he would be willing to purchase it under certain circumstances. If it was inexpensive, he would purchase it. If it was on the more expensive side, he would not.

Expensive STURDY Sauce tastes very bitter with a nasty after taste. I am throwing the rest of the jar content out.

I think a lot of pasta sauces lean into the garlic aspect but this one was herb-y and that gave it a fuller and more robust taste. It was very smooth and merged right into our ground beef and pasta. And the addition of 20g of protein per serving is an azong addition!

It contains 20 grams of protein per serving, with no added sugar. This sauce is a nice consistency. It is thick enough to stay on your pasta. It is very flavorful. I enjoyed the garlic and herb taste. I would recommend this sauce if you are looking for a tasty garlic and herb, marinara sauce with protein.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I had to put this one to the test in a real meal, so for this review I turned the Sturdy Sauce (Garlic & Herb) into chicken cacciatore… and honestly? I didn’t expect it to hit like this. Right off the bat, the sauce smells super fresh; garlic-heavy (in the best way), with that herby, slow-simmered scent like you’ve been cooking all day… even though you didn’t. I browned my chicken, tossed in some peppers and onions, then poured this in and let it do its thing. It thickened up nicely and actually held onto the chicken instead of just sitting watery at the bottom like some sauces do. Flavor-wise, it’s bold but not overpowering. You get the garlic, basil, oregano (very classic, very comforting) but what surprised me most is how filling it is. Like… this isn’t your typical “empty carb” sauce. It’s got 20g of protein per serving from that collagen + whey + bone broth blend, which sounds intense but you genuinely don’t taste anything weird or artificial. It just tastes… hearty. Also no added sugar and no seed oils? Love that for me. It feels like one of those small swaps that actually makes your meal more balanced without trying too hard. If you want a sauce that actually brings something to the table besides just flavor, this one’s a definite. My chicken cacciatore came out rich, satisfying, and felt like a high-protein comfort meal. Would 100% keep this stocked for lazy-but-still-put-together dinners.

I love that I can use this sauce with multiple dishes. This sauce goes perfect with pasta, chicken breast and taste delicious over stem veggies. The extra protein in the sauce is great for helping maintain my weight goals. The sauce is the perfect consistency because I dislike watery sauces. This sauce is thick and flavorful.
