I rate this product 5/10 just because it did help me with my acne, clearing and overall reduction of my blemishes but I did feel it had a really strong scent and I didn’t like that. It felt like a left a smooth texture residue but nothing bad. The dispensing is very interesting a clear tip and you are able to see the product coming out. Very small tube but powerful product. Im just happy it got to help me with clearing my acne scars/ acne.

I use this product every night and it's really effective, the pimples shrink, get smaller, and disappear after a few day. It product really works!!

I’ve never used this brand, and am now so intrigued by it! This serum worked very well for me. There was no dryness! The serum absorbs well, and is very easy to apply. There’s no residue after applying, as I’ve experienced with other products that target acne. This has helped two different blemishes disappear and heal within a few days of use. I see you Curology! Will definitely be reaching for this brand again.

This worked really well and didn’t just dry out my skin. The acne definitely looked better the next morning too which is impressive for just an overnight impact

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I used the gel serum as a spot treatment. I am not someone who has typical breakouts so this product has been convenient for me. It clears my acne and removes the redness. I love how it’s moisturizing without looking oily.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a very easy to use product. It is a relatively small skinny tube. I love the tip/applicator of this tube because it makes it really easy to place on specific spots on your face or squeeze small amounts onto your finger to apply on your acne. The name says gel serum so I was fully expecting it to be liquid. However, the consistency is more like a gel moisturizer. It doesn’t drip off your finger if you squeeze it on, it just piles on top of itself like a gel moisturizer would if you squeezed it out of a tube. Because the name said serum, I also applied the product before I put my moisturizer on. However, I realized that it would probably be best if you put on moisturizer first and then this product on the acne spots you want to target. The only exception to this is if you have a wide area or spread of acne, in which case I think it would be okay to apply before your moisturizer. I wish the instructions on how to use this product would be clearer in that aspect. It said on the tube that you could use 2-3x daily which I was surprised about because that’s quite frequent. But it suggests using once a day at first since it can cause dryness. I personally applied it at night (which is when I took the before pic) and then applied it the next night (which is when I took my after pic). I didn’t experience any dryness. The main ingredient is 2% salicylic acid, which is great for targeting acne. Back when I had a lot of acne, products with salicylic acid always worked great for me. After using this product, it seemed like my acne decreased in size but it was more concentrated. Like the diameter of the acne decreased but it became more whitehead/yellowy. I’ve used a lot of Curology products in the past and really love their moisturizers, lip balms, and dermatology-formulated individual custom acne cream. Currently, I still use their lip balm religiously and their dark spot serum (though I haven’t seen much difference in results with the latter). Therefore, I had a certain confidence that this product would work. While it is a good product and it works, I will have to say that I have used a different brand’s salicylic acid based serum spot treatment that I think works better. That being said, my skin has changed since becoming older and everyone’s experience could be different. My experience with this product may be different over a longer period of time and if I had used it years ago when I had more frequent acne. Just because I have extremely high expectations for Curology, I gave it 4/5 stars.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’ve been using this on random spots of acne that I’ve been getting and so far I feel like it has helped with how inflamed the pimples have been. I’ve used it around 2 times day and haven’t noticed any extreme drying as I’ve laso don’t my normal skincare around the area to keep my skin hydrated and moisturized. Overall it seems to be a good product, not super fast results but it doesn’t claim to be a miracle worker.

I tried this for two weeks, alternating nights and not using any actives in between. I typically used this more all over my face than a spot treatment and I am quite satisfied with its acne clearing results! The product is easy to apply particularly as a spot treatment but is able to dispense and rub in all over! Would try other Curology products too!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have struggled with acne since I was 12 and have tried many different types of spot treatments. Before they used to be more dry, the Curology 2% acne serum is def a more mild product. It’s not as effective as another spot treatment I’ve tried but it doesn’t dry my skin out. My favorite part is the applicator which is really easy to control. There is no fragrance and the serum feels nice on my skin. Would recommend if you’re in the market.

It doesn't dry out your skin and is a gel-like texture that feels good. Not really scented but also doesn't smell bad. Super easy to dispense.

The packaging is great and compact and travels nicely, it also dispenses in the perfect amount so that you don’t overuse product. The consistency is very smooth and melts into the skin. I didn’t experience any irritation with this product and it has helped clarify up my acne flareups. I have enjoyed using this product and I feel like it does exactly what it is meant to do.

You do need to be patient with its effectiveness - it does take consistent application for it to work properly. The gel texture is lightweight and blends very quickly into the skin. It does not leave any residue and sits well under your skincare and makeup! The product claims it can also reduce acne scarring. I'm unsure of that as I have not noticed a difference in the scars, however, it may just take longer to work. My acne flare ups did reduce significantly with this product and the redness went away within 24 hours of using the serum. Overall this is a great product for the value!

The main ingredient in this that targets acne is salicylic acid which is proven to reduce and help reduce acne breakouts. It helped reduce a few of my acne spots of my face. With that being said, it’s not a magic treatment or anything.

One daughter's face has started to clear up a bit and the other has gotten worse. It does not leave any residue after drying or add any discomfort to them through the night or day so that is good. It absorbs into the skin very nicely and applies very evenly and smoothly.
