Redesigned for the worse
Redesign is not the same. Product runs smaller, feels more bulky, and does not have the same absorbent liner as the old version. I exclusively used Skin Essentials for both of my kids but I will be switching to a competitor after this poorly executed change. 0 stars if I could.

The Worst new diapers
I don’t know why they changed from the traditional essential skin diaper to this new one with Zinc, it has been the worst, it has caused severe diaper rash to my baby and also that it does not retain his urine or poop ( leak ) they come out all over the leg, they definitely made a bad change, I am so disappointed, we were faithful to traditional diapers, now I will look for another brand. The new diaper doesn’t have those holes that absorb and retain urine, the Plastic on the sides is low quality is BAD cause rash, and also the general presentation of the diaper along with the materials is different from the old diaper, the quality was incredible.

The samples I received and first box were great and soft. But ever since then every box I have bought is so awful, the quality drastically declined. Crinkly paper, not soft, the pad doesn’t even go all the way up the back part, terrible chemical smell, shedding/pulling apart, diaper rash.. honestly just awful. I no longer buy Huggies skin essentials and have 2 boxes left but will not put these on my baby. Also these run one whole size smaller than all other diaper brands

Great for A Baby That Loves Their Sleep!
The absorbency is great on these! My 4 month old sleeps 10 hours at night and theres never an issues. I've tried more organic brands and find theres always a smell which I dont get with these. The tabs on these are also just phenomenal quality. These are my go to night time diapers (I have a bunch of diapers to use up that are less absorbent throughout the day lol)

I’ve always loved the Skin Essentials line. The new formula (first time using the new box) has a very strange smell when wet. Tested side by side with old diaper to confirm.

These new & improved skin essentials are great! The previous were good but weren’t my favorite of the huggies line I preferred the snug and dry. Very good for my sensitive skin bub and love the addition of zinc to the liner. It also has the bumpy liner like little snugglers has on size n-2.

Quality control issue
I purchased these twice. Once in a small pack, once in a large pack. The large pack diapers were way tougher and had a chemical scent to them. They are the exact same diaper but have way different feels. The new one causing rashes, while the old one did not. Unable to return as opened al now left with many faulty diapers. Photo on left is from small pack (good), on the right from the large pack (bad/faulty). You can see the difference in the texture in the photos.

Decent diaper, but the packaging design is a letdown
I’ve been using these for my newborn and they perform as expected. The material is soft and we haven’t dealt with any diaper rash so far. The blue wetness indicator is helpful and easy to read. However, I’ve had a recurring issue with the packaging. Several diapers were stuck to the plastic bag and ended up getting torn or wasted when I tried to pull them out. It’s frustrating to lose product this way, especially at this price point. A solid diaper, but the packaging quality needs to be improved to avoid waste.

Not soft? Not luxury feel at all
Not sure if I just got a bad batch or what, but when I first had a sample diaper of the skin essentials it was a size N or 1 and it was SUPER soft. I wanted to try ever since. I finally purchased them (waited because price is always so much) and I’m very disappointed. Not even close to the same diaper. Worse than original Huggies and that says something. The material feels like plastic, and not very absorbent at all. I would not recommend spending your money on these.

Not made like they used to
They no longer make them like they used to. I used to use this brand for my daughter and wanted to use them for my son now, but I quickly realized that they are no good. They often leak, I made sure to measure and weigh before I bought them to make sure he had the correct fit. But even so he has leaks frequently and it only started once I started to use this brand again. They also have a foul or odor even when he has peed just once. I will definitely be going back to pamper pure.
