Fisher-Price Soothe 'n Snuggle Otter, Plush Baby Learning Toy, Sound Machine with Breathing Motion

(This review was collected as part of a promotion.) This otter saved my marriage, otts as we call him is the third parent. He has helped our now 5 month old with sleep time, car seat melt downs turned naps, and listens intently while our baby tells otts all about his day. He is a life saver who gives us a break when all else fails and we are getting another just in case anything should happen to original otts.

Worked for about 2 months then most of the functions broke. Didnt even get through the first set of batteries.

This item was purchased for my baby a month ago. I can’t use it. It stops after one ‘breath’ I have to stay there and continuously press the button. It doesn’t do what it’s supposed to do. It hasn’t worked since I received it. Not happy with this product at all. It’s a waste of money. If I could give this product zero stars I would.

Broke after two weeks. It last just long enough for your kid to start needing it for sleep. Then it stops working.

I liked it in the beginning very cute and snuggling for my baby but after 3 months it doesn’t work and it broke. The button in the stomach is broken and it only plays music for 3 seconds if I’m lucky

Our son loves the toy. We set it to songs only and turned off the breathing. However it drives us nuts as parents that we don’t know all of the songs! Can someone please tell us what songs are being played? We know twinkle twinkle, Mary had a little lamb and my Bonnie but the other two are completely unknown and stuck in our heads! Hep out a parent! Thanks!

When you press its, tummy it doesn’t work you can’t turn it on from its tummy

Bought for a newborn grandchild and then bought again soon after for another newborn grandchild, and such a good idea that is looking set to be a much loved companion to both. Well made and undeniably cute I am more than happy with them. A great concept.

I bought this when my daughter was 6 months old and she is now 1. We named him Buddy, because he is her best friend! She plays with his ears at night till she falls asleep and won't leave the crib unless she is cuddling him. I highly recommend.

Works nicely but the belly has stopped moving. I’ve made sure the correct buttons are pressed- I can hear the motor running but it’s not moving. I replaced the batteries last week and we had several days without issue. The lights and sound are still working. Wish there were some troubleshooting docs

This was the first “friend” I got for my baby. I saw it in an ad and needed to have it for him when he arrived. We were so excited about it, but after maybe three uses, the up and down breathing motions stopped. Now, to use the other functions, you have to open the back and not use the button on the otter’s belly. I loved it but am slightly disappointed in it.

Love it the breathing and soothing music, perfect for my grandson who will be nearly 3 months at Christmas. Sensory for babies

I bought this otter for my newborn son and it stopped working after 3 weeks. I had noticed when we first turned the tummy feature on that it made a clicking sound, my newborn didn't mind. I have changed the batteries multiple times because it won't stay on for more than 5 seconds. My son really loved this

My 5 week old loved this laying next to him- it really did soothe him. BUT it stopped working after using it for 2 weeks! He is a newborn, so I’m pretty sure he didn’t break it while it was laying next to him. It would definitely be 5 stars if it was defective.

The only that i would suggested is that you add a little more stuffing and a turn off switch. But over all we loved it.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This Fisher Price Soothe n' Snuggle Otter is perfect for my little ones. The otter is adorable and very cuddly. My 17 month old son and 3 year old daughter love pressing the otter's belly. The otter comes with 4 settings and volume control buttons. There is a music setting that plays lullabies. The setting below it gives you 4 options; two heartbeat settings, soothing night breathing and white noise. The third setting allows the otter belly to rise and the fourth option is for the light glow effect. My son enjoyed playing with the otter, but it didn't help him fall asleep it actually confused him with play time. My daughter loves playing with the otter. She would snuggle with it during nap time. She enjoyed the snoring setting. My daughter and son cannot control the setting but they do enjoy pressing the button on the belly to start and stop the otter. Overall, this otter is a cuddly soothing toy that is perfect for young children!
