Use the tips & visuals in this guide to make taking your child's body measurements easy-peasy.

Dont have a fabric tape measure? Use a shoelace or pant leg to measure. Then, lay it flat & use a ruler or tape measure to get a numerical measurement.

How to measure

  • Height

    Have your child stand in front of the fridge.Mark the top of the head with a magnet. Measure a straight line from floor to magnet.

  • Chest

    Have your child make airplane arms. Wrap tape measure around the fullest part of the chest, keeping it level & snug.

  • Waist

    With your child bending to one side, measure the point where the waist flexes naturally. Keep the tape level & comfortably loose.

  • Hip

    Have your child stand like a tall tree with feet together. Measure a level line around the fullest part of the hips & seat.

  • Inseam

    Take a pair of pants that fit your child well. Measure along the seam from crotch to leg opening.

Funny Dinosaurs?! Yes Please!!!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My son is absolutely obsessed with this shirt. He loves his dinosaurs and he thought this one was soooo funny. He couldn’t stop laughing at the dinosaur wearing a bow and a hat. My son is 3 & 1/2 and usually wears a 4T/5T. We did want to get him some larger shirts so he could grow into them and get more use out of them so we went with a boys XS for this one. It is definitely too big on him but not by too much. He will grow into this in no time and I can honestly say he will probably wear it even while it’s a little big because it’s so cute I can’t resist.

Fun dinosaur shirt runs big

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This Graphic dinosaur long sleeve shirt from Cat and Jack is a fun and silly shirt for your child. My 4.5 year old loved the dinosaur wearing a hat. It's good quality and great price, one of the reasons we stick with this brand. He is wearing an extra small or a size 4 to 5 and it runs big but I wouldnt size down or anything because he will grow into it eventually. The shirt isn't too thick.

So fun for little boys this holiday season

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This boy loves dinosaurs, so this shirt was a must for the festive season. I love that is is Christmas colors but can also be worn at other times since it isn’t Christmas themed necessarily. The print is clear, the T -Rex isn’t your typical looking T-rex so it threw my son for a loop at first. The shirt is soft. He is wearing a size XS and it fits him well with a little room for growth this winter season. He’s 4.5 years old.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The size large is a little big in the sleeves for my son right now. He is wearing a size ten right now in boys clothes. The large is a ten/twelve so I went with that size. The graphics are fun on this shirt. I love the dinosaur picture with the added bow tie and top hat. Makes for a great fun long sleeve top. The quality is always great with cat and jack so even after washing the graphic is great.
