Q: Can this be used for my 6 month old puppy ?

submitted by Shantel K - 1 year ago

  • A: Nutrish Gentle Digestion Real Chicken, Pumpkin & Salmon Recipe Wet Dog food is formulated to meet the nutritional levels established by the AAFCO Dog Food Nutrient profiles for Maintenance. This would not be a food nutritionally complete for dogs under 1 year of age.

Has chicken & a funky smell to it.

Salmon……it’s also chicken. Why does it have such a strong odor? Smells like beef or is it the brown rice? My whole kitchen stinks from it.

Great quality dog food with the same ingredients as the premium dog foods found at specialty pet stores for a fraction of the price! My vet says that my 11 year old dog looks like a 4 year old dog. The salmon is great for keeping her fur silky soft.

    Dog seems to approve

I purchased this for our 2 year old german shepherd because we think she's allergic to chicken so our vet suggested changing foods. Our dog is very picky so we alternate this one with another brand and so far, we've had no issues with her eating it. No complaints from us. She seems happy.

    So far, so good :)

We recently switched our dogs to this food in hopes to find something more budget friendly but not lacking in healthy ingredients. Our dogs have been on this for over three months now, so far, so good 😊. A few of my fur babies are extremely allergy prone, and they haven’t had any issues with this food. I’m glad they are getting the nutrition they need while enjoying the flavor.

    Best of the Salmon Food!

My pitbulls have skin issues, so it was suggested that we 1) get off all poultry and 2) switch completely to salmon. My dogs were obviously not excited about this. I would say I have tried at least 5 different salmon varieties of dog food from multiple brands and this is the only one where I don't have to consistently sit there and tell them to eat. They love it!

    Canceled my vet appointment!

My 12 year old Rottie pit mix began losing her fur this summer.... way more than usual. Her fur was dry and crunchy instead of her usual velvety soft coat. She was also sleeping a TON more. I thought it was her age. Then I happened to run low on food and grabbed this stuff at Target, not realizing it also was gentle on digestion. I had actually made an appointment with the vet to get blood work done on her and after a few days on this, her energy came back. After 2 weeks, her coat is growing back and is so shiny and healthy. My girl was BALDING before she started on this and now her fur is lush and velvety again. So happy!

    Yummy, Good

I have 4 dogs, and they are very picky. I have been using Rachael Ray's dog food for a long time now. They have been eating the one with the chicken, which they enjoy to eat as well, but they love the salmon better.
