Q: I feel silly having to ask this but how the heck do you get the pump working? I've been turning, pulling, and pushing on the pump to unlock it but it won't budge.

Should be called a "gel"

I was super disappointed by this shave oil because, more than anything, I think calling it an “oil” is a stretch. I really like a true oil for shaving, and since I used the rest of the Vanilla Cashmere line, I was excited for this (especially based on the great reviews). I was disappointed to see it be more of a gel consistency - much thicker than a standard oil (like the Tree Hut shave oil). I found that I had to rinse my razor much more than normal & just wasn’t “wow”ed by it. It’s an okay product, and I do think it gives some moisture, but you’ll be disappointed if you’re expecting an oil consistency.

Not worth it

Gave me infected ingrown hairs :(

I really wanted to like this but it gave me multiple infected ingrown follicles on my legs! I've used this for probably about 2 months and have in total gotten 4 large painful infected follicles and I normally get at the most one a year. I've switched razors and body washes during that time so I've narrowed it down to this product that has to be causing it. I've used other shaving products in the past without issue so I'm not sure which ingredient is the culprit, but if you're prone to ingrown infected hairs please be cautious buying this product!

EOS Shave Oil Pump

I got it open. Here is what I did. Make sure the top is screwed tightly on the bottle. Next turn the pump counter clockwise (to the left). You will have to turn it quite a few times. After turning the pump counter clockwise about 20 times, Make sure the pump is screwed tightly to the bottle. You may even want to take it completely off and put it back on. A few more left turns to the pump and it pops up. Hope this works for you!

Defective bottle

I took a chance ordering this as I like their other products but noticed the reoccurring issue of the pump being defective. The bottle I received also does not work and I have to unscrew and pour out to use. The oil itself has a great scent but I don't see a difference compared to other shaving gels/creams/oils. After I use up this bottle, I'll switch back to Skintimate and use EOS lotion.

Faulty pump

The smell is strong but nice. thick gel that's best for wet shaving. The packaging needs improving. I see other people commenting on the pump. I tried twisting, pushing, pulling, I took the lid off the inspect the pump, compared it to my eos lotion bottle pump. I'm pretty sure you're supposed to twist it (which direction?🤷‍♀️) to break the seal. not the end of the world but I have to use this product the messy way.
